MLB Pretenders/Contenders
Pretenders and Contenders They talk about each division and I love this quote from the AL Central:

What is Ozzie thinking?
Manuel was awful with his pitchers and it is Ozzie's first year as a manager. He still has to get used to his pitchers. Besides, at least he is getting the team going everyday, unlike last year.

prior vs. Garland
Logic also says that anything can happen on any given day in baseball. To predict a score and base it on logic is stupid and pointless. The odds of the score being that are slim to none and I'm sure you know that.

prior vs. Garland
While I agree that Prior is a great pitcher and has my utmost respect, he isn't back to 100%. He hasn't gone deep into games so if Garland can keep it close it will be a battle of the bullpens, which really depends on who pitches for each team. The league's best offense against the league's 3rd best pitching. It should be a good series.

Ben Gordon
He seems to have a good personality. I think he has a great game. I would love the pick if it weren't for his height. He also doesn't seem to be a great fit on this team. We will have to see what happens as the draft progresses.

Cal Stae Fullerton's Pape Sow
LOL I'm surprised Jason didn't start this thread. Jas was telling me about this guy. He is supposed to be good, but the team was still awful. It's news when a guy gets picked from their for basketball. They said it was the 1st pick from Fullerton since Ceballos in 1990. It's not news when their baseball team does well in the CWS. They've created such stars as Aaron Rowand.

6/24 Games
Great Falls lost 6-0 to Billings. The Sox only managed 4 hits. Box Score Bristol split in a doubleheader with the Elizabethon Twins. Game 1 they lost 11-3. Game 1 Box Score Game 2 Bristol won 7-2. 8 Ks in 4.1 IP for Yunior Novoa. He only surrendered 1 unearned run. He sounds like an international free agent pick up. He is only 19. Box Score

Ashlee Simpson
It's ok. He refuses to admit that not everyone has to like and hate people like he does. IE Borchard and Rauch.

Ben Gordon
Just from what I saw from that clip his neighborhood looks a lot like Ron Artest's. I remember when OTL did a bit on Artest not knowing how to spend his money. He was wasting his money and he 'only had a million left' lol. OTL is such bulls***. All that show does is overdramatize s***.

The Duhon pick could potentially decent. This is the 2nd round here, any contributers are good picks. Duhon could contribute for sure.

6/24 Games
Kanny blew a 9-4 lead going into the bottom of the 9th. A 6 spot in the 9th and they lose to Lexington. :puke Gray had a solo HR. Bounds had 3 hits, 3 RBI and has been pretty hot of late. Schnur had 2 hits, 2 RBI. Rick Hummel and Adam Larson combined to blow it, not surprising it was them.Box Score

I'm more worried about Duke players than Iowa State players. Vroman should be a solid pick. First pick I'm happy about thus far. HEADS!!!

The Official Carlos Beltran Traded Thread
The prospects the Royals got from the A's are both in AAA. Teahen is 22 and Wood is 24. Teahen is batting .275 this season. Wood has is 11-3 with a 2.80 ERA in 15 starts. Wood sounds like a stud. The Royals got out and got a good pitcher. They still need more though.

NBA draft thread
It's funny, but he is right. These HSers should go to college. Stupid f***ers are ruining the league and half of them won't meet expectations.
-
NBA draft thread
Well Utah is prodominately Mormon so they are drafting to their demographics. I'm not too pleased with the Bulls draft. Gordon will be either a backup or a short SG. Great pick at #3. What a crappy draft class this is...

New aspect of T-Mac Trade
Butler really stepped up in the 2nd half of the year. He got better as the year went on. He averaged 12.5 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in March. 11, 7, 1.6, and 1.1 for April. He was still only in his 2nd year. The Heat on the whole got better because of young guys like him. And he stepped up in the playoffs. 12.8, 8.5, 2.4, and 2.1 in the playoffs. He has only played 2 seasons. The best is yet to come.

And THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
There were 2 outs. If Uribe hadn't gotten on safely due to the error the inning would have been over before Jose would even be on deck. Sidenote: I still think Rauch is going to be trade bait. He just about doubled his stock today and that is what KW was hoping for.

New aspect of T-Mac Trade
Drew Gooden is overrated and Caron Butler is a stud. Mobley and Gooden for Butler would be a solid deal for the Magic. I don't see why the Heat would want to do it though. The players seem to be equal, but they have Brian Grant at PF. I can't see them trading away a star and key to their team like Butler.
