I know... I wish I could too...

The Arn Tellem angle has been mentioned before in the Newsday article.

Then it is decided...Valentin is gone...but to where?
-
When this deal goes down, will we see Valentin shipped to Seattle (who lost on vizquel) for Garcia? to LA for Perez? or put out in Right Field? Questions Questions....

Nothing but rumor and speculation concerning Ozzie. One month and all I am hearing is F-YOU Ozzie. Do you really think he'd do that or demand the trade of Mags, Konerko and Lee?!? Come on...
-
Me too...or would this move have silenced his critics on this site who are clammering for him to make ANY move?? It would have made them angrier, I think. There is a sense of frustration, but if KW had an extra 30 million to work with like Jim Hendry then he would be making some moves, I think. Theo Epstein is genius says Gammons. Five me 100 + million budget and I'll put together a good team too and take on A-Rod contract. KW is handcuffed and he will make the best deal he can.

I worked on Flatliners with Kevin Bacon when they filmed in Bensenville.

This is just standard KW posturing and keeping his cards close to his chest. Last year he said they weren't in the Colon hunt...yet at the winter meeting he met with Omar Minaya and laid the groundwork for the trade in January. Last summer he said the Sox might not make any significant moves before the All Star Break and trading deadline...Here comes Everett and Alomar. Every team knows he wants to trade, he can't go down there acting like he'd take anything. You want him to trade Mags for a prospect? Just so he made a move? Or do you want to get the MOST in return and really help this ballclub. We know he is NOT afraid to pull any trigger to make a deal. Calm down and wait. This Fantasy Baseball mentality of "Sign this guy, then this guy and this guy and trade this guy for this guy and everyone will agree to the terms you set" is not how it is done in the real MLB. Unless you are the Yankees, but they haven't won in few years. look at the players and trades the Mets made...signing the top FAs and trading for tons of poeple...They didin't fair well. Calm down.

Here is what the Mock White Sox accomplished so far... Baseball Prospectus article

OMG.... They did not ask permission to use that from me either!!!

In an era where pitchers are going to be asking for 8-9 mill a season who have posted worse career numbers than Mark (i.e. Ponson), I think we have made a good deal. I know we had him through 2006, but then we would have to go to arbitation each year until then. By which time, if he kept posting good number he could be closing in on 9 million a year by 2006. Now we have him through 2006 at 6 mil. A good deal.

I still say Wright has the stuff to be an extremely dominant RH set guy. His stuff is eerily similar to Eric Gagne and their numbers as starters are the same too. Even Sandy Alomar said last year if they let Denny pitch one inning, and he knew that was all he would pitch, he could get his Fastball up to 95-97 and really hammer his Knuckle Curve.

I never learned how to read!!!! DAMN YOU FOR MOCKING ME!!!

This is going to be an interesting off-season.

Thank God it never got to the point where she couldn't supersize her order...

Lets look at the REAL problem here Why are they allowing "Mary Poppins" to be shown in classrooms?!? This smut-filled, sex epic would cause any mild-mannered child to go nuts. Julie Andrews....what a slut! Seriously, this sounds a bit extreme to sentence an 8 year old. This girl in my kindergarden used to show all the boys her underwear, when she got a new pair. Today she'd be on trial...weird world.

If the Twins lose their best two relievers, this division is looking more and more likely to go our way. But we shouldn't sit pat and hope to win by default.

Why all the hooplah with Anaheim and Bart
RibbieRubarb replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
People have been spouting out numbers without actually talking about the reality of the numbers. The Angels rumored offer of 4 years 48 million is also known to be almost entirely deferred money. While the Sox 3 for 30+ million is all guarenteed. Me thinks Bart goes with guarenteed money, latin coaching staff, and the beeter chance to make the playoffs. In other words...us. -

Why All of the Stress on Offseason Deals?
RibbieRubarb replied to C.Rector's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Let me explain why some want deals to be made. When you bring up your farm system to play, that is called rebuilding. After being in contention in September and winning the division in 2000, we do not need an era of rebuilding. KC and Minn are putting their hopes on youth next season. We have a strong core of a team already and with the right help could win this thing easily. -
I think moving Lee to 1st is cool, then can we swing a trade with the brewers for Geoff Jenkins? He can play LF and provide that MUST needed LH pop in the line-up
-
Raffie!! What a good idea. But the $$$ might be an issue. We NEED a LH power bat in the line-up, not just coming off the bench.

I love Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball trade ideas!
