Definitely not full of s%*#….showed several pitches. What’s interesting is his game log doesn’t show that any other team caught this, if he’s been doing it for a while. At least, I don’t see anything damning in the game log

Probably a bit premature to post this, but Doyle just might be a dude. He’s been pretty impressive showing some pop, speed, and excellent defense. If Peters doesn’t get it going again, Doyle has been an everyday player in his career and probably deserves to get back to being an everyday player with the Sox.

You bunt that ball up the 3b line and Quero advances without issue. Hell, even a good pull bunt does the trick.

I can only imagine he thought the odds of Aam getting a base knock were greater than Acuna or Peter’s getting the ball in the air deep enough for a sac fly. I STRONGLY disagree with that bet. Like, am I having a senior moment or has it been a very long time since we’ve bunted a runner over in extras at home?

I love Sam, but he failed to get the runner over. Nice AB but with Quero left standing at 2b, that’s a failed AB. Fouled off several cookies. I’m a strong Will supporter but he’s had a rough couple of weeks. He treats handedness like a religion except one it comes to his favorites. I find those numbers shocking, honestly. July he had a .653 OPS, .750 so far in August. I think it's these numbers that make me believe he's not hitting..... Runners on this season, a .607 OPS RISP this season, a .404 OPS

I don't think the squeeze is worth the juice. Mateo is, at best, a very marginal improvement over Luisangel. Acuna is a magician at SS, is faster, and is already comfortable in his role on this team. Mateo may provide a bit more at the dish but that's about the only advantage he has. Luisangel isn't the issue with this team. We need to be finding a replacement for Grichuk....he's clearly the weak link on this roster at this point in the season.

BRUTAL stretch, especially the latter half. That was the gauntlet on the schedule and we come out of it even. That’s a win. Miggy needs to see some lesser quality pitchers to get himself back on track.

The “f*** up” makes zero sense for several reasons. He would never admit he gamed the system, but it was well played.

Not only would it have been incredibly odd for him to come out to talk to Noah that early, but that Bove just let him walk out there is kind of telling, too. That important game was about to get away from us in the top of the 1st…if ever there was a perfect time to “accidentally” force your flailing starter out of the game with no one warm in the pen, that was it. ETA…if he forgot Bove had already gone out there, why didn’t he send Bove out again? Have we ever seen Will make the first mound visit of a ballgame, much less in the first?

Because Noah was sucking ass with 2 in, runners on the corners, and 1 out. Will couldn’t wait for anyone to warm up so forced the pitching change, giving Sandlin all the time he needed to warm up and end the inning with no further damage.

Tin foil time…may have been intentional. Sandlin now gets all the time he needs to warm up.
