  1. The first one especially. A non-hanging hanger.
  2. If that isn’t the plan, I’ll be shocked.
  3. Going to be livid if we draft Emerson. While I have concerns with Cholowsky, at least he has a track record of facing advanced competition. Same with Lackey. Drafting a prep player 1-1 who doesn't look like a high school version of Shohei is just far too speculative for my taste. 1-1 should be reserved for a player you know, with 80%+ confidence, can get to the bigs relatively quickly and become a constant in the lineup/rotation. Lackey Cholo (wood bat struggles concern me) Emerson
  4. Was that one of those fake injuries we heard about?
  5. And leave Will with him in that case.
  6. Not sure I’ve seen a better path to a ball. Kid is a natural out there lol
  7. Walks and errors are the story of this series.
  8. Thank god Peter’s didn’t tear a knee or hammy there. Christ.
  9. I think that sends a really bad message to Gonzo. You run the risk of him heading down feeling deflated and that carrying over into his game. Dude has stepped in and played very well both defensively and offensively.
  10. If there are shenanigans at play (again), I’d like to see an Indian take one to the ribs.
  11. He didn’t expect them to contend. Why spend heavily on a staff if you expect it to be a rebuilding year with moderate progression from last? This team was never intended to be in a race in July.
  12. Platoon him with Chase
  13. Bunch of .175-250 hitters and we pitch scared...nibble nibble nibble. It's 100% mental.
  14. Looked too deep in the hole to really make an out anywhere. The ricochet off his glove led to a run, though.
  15. Their offense 28th in baseball. It’s what’s so annoying about losing to them.
  16. Emerson supporters should listen the Garfein’s pod with Rusty Greer, Grady’s manager. For a manager trying to create hype around his potential 1-1 player, he sure didn’t sound very committal. Downplays his power (or lack thereof), struggles to come up with THE moment in his year with him, kinda dispels the whole “he’s the next Bobby Witt Jr” myth. Greer, being a former MLB player, has seen greatness. He sure seemed to be far from insinuating that he’s coaching a kid who could be one of the greats.
  17. *over the toughest month on our schedule
  18. Ya know how I know I’m getting old? Reading people freaking out about a loss in a 162 game season, sending them spiraling into talking s%*# about the same players they may love in a week. It’s baseball, not football. It’s a long season. Tip your cap and move onto the next game.
  19. Martin didn’t even make it out of the 3rd man. You’re going to go pretty deep into the pen when that happens.
  20. Had the right guy in the right place and he was a little bit off there in the 9th. Is what it is. Get em tomorrow.
  21. Make it like ACC college football, switch to a feed from the replay center showing what they’re watching and hearing them debate.
