  1. So, which players do you guys think should be promoted now that we've reached the end of the 1st half? Position player wise, I'd say that Tyler Kuhn, Christian Marrero, Ian Gac, Jose Martinez, Dan Black, Brady Shoemaker, Juan Silverio, Drew Lee and Ross Wilson seem like obvious choices.
  2. Not sure why Saladino and Gilmore haven't played the past few days.
  3. Well, Florida already has added Dewayne Wise to the roster...
  4. QUOTE (Bruce_Blixton @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) I think he could replace Teahen without missing a beat, he has a great eye at the plate. I wonder if he could develop some power as he gets older like Jayson Werth did. I love Jim Gallagher, but his power will probably stay the same. Plus, he's nowhere near as large as Jayson Werth.
  5. Sadly, from what I've heard through an inside source, Jerry Reinsdorf is going to have to make changes. Otherwise, nothing will happen. You may scoff, but this is concrete info.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) Kuhn is a legit prospect? Maybe by White Sox standards. Unless you believe he can maintain a .440 BABIP. Does Kuhn have one legitimate tool? I believe he can, he makes mad contact. He puts the ball between the infielders and outfielders, that seems to be a legitimate tool.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 01:01 PM) How is Kuhn's fielding? to Beckham? More range, better arm.
  8. So...I'm guessing Kelly Johnson for Tyler Kuhn and Josh Phegley is next? Arizona needs a good leadoff hitter, Kuhn could get on base in front of Chris Young.
  9. I miss the strawberry golden Oreo blizzard from DQ they had last summer.
  10. Arby's Jamocha Oreo shake anyone?
  11. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 01:22 PM) They need more McFlurry flavors, they cut back to M&Ms and Oreos, and I cant stand M&Ms in ice cream and Oreos are just okay. Bring back Reese's McFlurrys. No Reese's?!! Mother******!
  12. Former White Sox minor league outfielder Salvador Sanchez has rejoined the organization and is now a pitcher. He is on the Great Falls roster. He had signed with the Rangers organization and started the process of converting to pitcher, but he was released by Texas recently.

    2011 TV Thread

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 12:55 PM) Probably explains it all. Just guessing.
  14. QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 01:38 AM) What's Kuhn's upside? How's his defense? Only a few errors while playing 4 different positions. He's solid enough.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) It will be hard with Drew Garcia blocking him. They'll swap places next week, after Kuhn plays in the SL all star game.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 05:02 AM) I forgot about that post. I was drunker than a Dallas Maverick. But I figured it would have to be something grotesque, you know, in order to hit something of that caliber. I with you, things I cannot even imply here.
  17. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 06:30 AM) Tyler Kuhn went 2 for 5 with a sacrifice fly as Birmingham lost a doubleheader Wednesday, and he also drew this story in his hometown paper: http://www.courier-journal.com/article/201...ell|text|Home|p Tyler Kuhn is awesome. I made sure to snag one of his broken bats and get him to sign it.
  18. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) I beg to differ. Tie-dye became fashionable in the very late 60's to early 70's. I would even go so far as to say it became mainstream fashionable more so in the early 70's than the late 60's, therefore it makes perfect sense to me. I'm not saying it wasn't a part of the 70's, it's just not the first thing you think of.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 08:10 AM) I have to admit I was wrong on Colligan - I thought he'd break out this year. Not so much. The inconsistent playing time hasn't helped either.
  20. Shoemaker and Colligan need to swap places.
  21. He would have to not be on the DL to do that.
  22. Joe Mauer's older brother Jake is the manager of the Twins High A team. He's only 5 years older than Joe. Is he even qualified?
