Final Exam Help
We offer this little service every year in December and May. Basically, if you are a college student and you find yourself wasting time on Soxtalk when you really should be studying, shoot an administrator a PM and we will block access to your account for the amount of time you specify. It actually works quite nice if you're a chronic time-waster.

Mary Cheney to have a baby
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 02:57 PM) Let's hope the Democratic candidate in 2008 doesn't mention Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter's daughter in the debates. 1.) Why would that happen? 2.) Why just single out the democratic candidate?

Hawk makes final Hall Ballot
If only our minor league guys could have people that develop like DJ. I do love DJ.

Schmidt to Dodgers
They simply have too much young talent. Can we give em Pods instead of Dye? They also seem to have a penchant for older, more useless OF.
-
Schmidt to Dodgers
The Dodgers seem dead set on winning that division now.

Rumor:Garcia to Philles for Arow + Madson/Floyd
QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) "We have a center fielder right now," Guillen said. "I won't trade one of my pitchers one-for-one for Rowand right now. He's a good player, but we're not desperate for a center fielder. I love Aaron, but we need more." We do? I'm scared to think of who he might be referring to.

Rumor:Garcia to Philles for Arow + Madson/Floyd
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 04:02 AM) I'm of the opinion that Anderson will probably have a better year, both offensively and defensively, than Rowand. But don't try to say that Rowand's bad defensively though. He's still an upper echelon defender in CF. ^^^ Rowand's effort is certainly tops, bar none, and that makes him appear better than he probably is. Anderson has more talent, but its not showing. BA will need to show improvement this year if he is a Sock, cause I think he will be gone if he doesn't bat above .250-.260.

No More Mack In Center
I had no problem with Mack playing last year. The problem was it should have been left field the vast majority of the time.

Rumor:Garcia to Philles for Arow + Madson/Floyd
We still have time to get Timo back.

Rumor:Garcia to Philles for Arow + Madson/Floyd
If we get Rowand, BA will not be with the team. He'll be traded or sent down. Or, we could just be idiots and play him as fourth OF.

Rumor:Garcia to Philles for Arow + Madson/Floyd
QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) I'm really beginning to dislike Aaron Rowand. Hey now, I never liked him that much. I win.

Aaron Rowand
I could handle Rowand playing left. That's about it.

It's Hunting Season
A nice pair of Cabela's boots and heavyweight Cabela's socks. I'm guessing a lot of it is your feet are gonna get cold when the temperature is between 0-10 and you stil still for four hours. On a side note, we hang out deer by cutting small slits in the hind legs and using a thing that looks like a coat hanger with hooks on either end to hold the deer up. Looks less like you're hanging the thing and more like laundry.

A few things: Jim Walden, the guy who voted Florida #1, last coached for Iowa State. So, yeah. Sounds like Major Applewhite will be the next ISU QB coach. We hired the Stephen F. Austin head coach as our OC, so if anyone knows anything about him other than he's fat, that'd be cool. I always thought that if we did go with a playoff, it should be 8 teams. An undefeated team always gets an automatic berth (we'll never have more than 4, IMO), while using the BCS rankings to both seed and determine the remaining teams. There's honestly never usually more than 4 teams with a claim, but just in case. That's how Heads fixes things, anyways.

It's Hunting Season
no, but i lost feeling in my right foot and didn't regain it til over 2 hrs after i got off of stand

It's Hunting Season
Season doesn't open til tomorrow morning. Hunting on land next to a state park also means you don't need a watch to see when its OK to shoot, cause it sounds like a firing range.

f***ing Greg McDermott. You don't need to hug the opposing coach at halftime. Act like you want to f***ing win. Also, UNI rushed the court against a team picked to finish 11th in the Big 12. But I suppose thats the kind of win you attach your program to.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 11:13 AM) There is hilton magic.....much much better teams run into an unknown bermuda triangle effect. Salukis would lose there. It's more of a play up to better teams effect, for some reason, than dominating s***ty ones. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 11:32 AM) So that's why you hate Sampson. That might be part of it. That and the fact he was about the only guy to beat us when we were nearly unbeatble.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 29, 2006 -> 10:44 AM) Oh, I know all about Hilton magic. Too bad our defense would suck all the magic out of that place. All-time records for Big 12 teams at Hilton: Big 12: Kansas: 16-18 Texas: 2-5 Baylor: 0-6 Kansas State: 14-21 Colorado: 5-32 Missouri: 15-21 Nebraska: 15-20 Oklahoma: 15-15 Oklahoma State: 10-19 Texas A&M: 2-3 Texas Tech: 1-4 I'm not trying to prove anything other than I was curious. There's been some pretty s***ty/medicore ISU teams in there. Probably explains why it feels like we never beat Oklahoma...but I'm surprised that OU and Nebraska play as well as they do here. Colorado gets dominated. But, we've made good teams like Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma State, and the more recent Tech team look not so hot.
