  1. I’ve seen you reference that before and trust your assessment more than my own… but I honestly think Conforto + Boras will prefer a pillow contract.
  2. Now we’re getting to the vital information stage of the off-season. Sweet!
  3. They’re waiting until February when Boras concedes it’s best for Conforto to sign at 1/20 instead of 4/68.
  4. I should offer to develop a transaction alert system for them. Utilize Baseball America and Twitter APIs… When a player fitting a range of stat metrics sees an increase in tweet volume, send text message to all front office executives. Create it in a way that an admin can weigh desired positions, contract expectations, trade value estimates, etc. Come on White Sox… just give me about $350,000 and you can have a new shiny toy that would be the envy of the Houston Blasthoes.
  5. Que Duffy and Conforto talk!
  6. Kimbrel doom strikes again? If they could have had Windle they should have beat out the Marlins offer. Only plausible reason was if the Rays didn’t want to deal him to a contender in the AL and that is doubtful IMO. Lame. Pivot. Trade Kimbrel for something else. Windle was perfect.
  7. Ok. Time to be pissed.
  8. The source of that was some Dominican newspaper. We’ll see if it comes to pass.
  9. Fer serious. Just to get back more ~2+ WAR players back since their scouting and development posts are the bees knees.
  10. I’m pissed at this one but three things: 1.) Wait to see who the Marlins sent 2.) Wait to see what we end up with at second base 3.) Maybe the Rays didn’t want an AL contender getting better
  11. Someone informed me here that it wouldn’t cost Vaughn or Crochet. So glad to have that insight… would have never known. ?
  12. Bastards. I really liked the idea of having him. Looks like it’s simply a 1-1 deal with a prospect going back. Will like seeing who that prospect is. This is more upsetting to me than not signing the other players we weren’t likely to sign anyway.
  13. Public Service Announcement If you do not respond to the wind, it will stop blowing.
  14. Welcome to the Hall of Fame List! ??
  15. You’ve been duped.
  16. A little over 3m per WAR if he sustains 2 per season… which would be great value going by average signing rates calculated on a per WAR projected basis.
  17. Of course not!
  18. Sure… in 2015-2019.
  19. I think they’re spending 5 million on a backup because they did.
  20. Someone on Spanish Twitter is claiming it’s a 16.3 million dollar deal. Just based on the number… I believe him.
  21. If there are injuries and the starter you brought in poops the bed… sure he is then.
