  1. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 07:11 PM) Benetti keeps coming with the jokes... I’m really starting to think of his game calling as intolerable.
  2. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 07:51 PM) Avi should definitely net the White Sox something nice if he remains as productive as he has been. So far Avi looks to have picked up right where he left off and if that’s going to be the case, I’d want to extend him rather than trade him... unless we’re “bowled over” as KW calls it.
  3. Go Sox Go!!! I won’t be on the #TankTrain until they show they completely suck... this year I don’t believe there will be a tank train because even the losses are going to be potentially more meaningful. Love it.
  4. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 07:28 PM) Bunting is stupid period Unless you’re Adam Engle today, I suppose.
  5. Since he is tha bess - he’ll only be out for 18 hours.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 05:39 PM) Gallo had 32 singles last year. That is the fewest for anyone who ever had enough ABs to qualify for a batting title. Pretty amazing if you think about it. Wow! I hadn’t heard that stat myself... kucking futs!!
  7. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 02:18 PM) Less two hours. Can not wait for this game. Has felt like an eternity since game 1. Same. I’m bored as f***.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 08:55 PM) Ugh. Sox lost Tatis Jr. because the GM traded him in a stupid move. Why does Hahn get such a free pass on here? If you are being serious, I would be amazed. It's a stretch to blame the Sox for starting quickly and the GM thinking he was adding a piece for the playoffs. I blame the guy who made the trade. Shields had KW written all over it.
  9. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 01:04 PM) I'd say probably drop Gorman too, at least for now. There is concern from some about his ability to stay at third and some questions about his contact again. I bet we here more when all the scouts get back from NHSI, but for right now there does seem to be some growing uncertainty. My prediction for the next month or so is that Mize is going to continue to rise and establish himself as the #1, Liberatore will be linked to the Giants more, and McClanahan is going to establish himself as the best option available at #3. Eierman and Bohm are going to get talked about a ton, but both will fall off a little bit when scouts start scrutinizing them more. If we end up with Hankins I’m not complaining. Kershaw v2.0?
  10. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 08:23 PM) I was being sarcastic regarding Moncada. But I’d like to see him be a tick more aggressive If pitchers keep pounding the zone against him, he’ll become more aggressive.
  11. I had to leave home after the 2nd inning... three hours later I was able to come back and resume the game. Call me shocked. ????
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 08:59 AM) Might as well get this out of the way now... The meme that will never die ???????????
  13. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 07:21 AM) I'll also say Kopech starts off pretty slow cause of his recent breakup with his now ex reality star girlfriend and Soxtalk freaks out for a couple of months. So that finally happened huh? I’ve been curious how he’d take this for ages. Seems like it could really be something for him personally that takes him for a loop.
  14. Engle almost made a sweet diving grab while going back. Ball just didn't stay in his glove but he got to it.
  15. Funny... I saw the poll and without yet reading the article, voted Eloy based on his makeup set against Yoan's "slow" adjustment. Think they'll both be cornerstones. My initial thought was, "I bet the vote is 50/50." After casting one for Eloy, the results where exactly that.
  16. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Feb 23, 2018 -> 05:22 PM) Don't think there's much good news here other than that they think they can rehab it without TJ. At best he's missing a critical 2-3 months of development time. Bigger picture (and problem) is that Micker seems to be put together with duct tape and zip ties. I'd be curious to here what ptac thinks but I do think that "injury prone" is a thing -- and micker is injury prone. I just value and always enjoy his various insights. ??
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 22, 2018 -> 04:48 PM) Hudson. Patato.
  18. Ah duh. Daniel Hudsen was the main trade chip in return.
  19. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Feb 22, 2018 -> 10:27 AM) Dickerson acquired by Pirates per MLBN. Will try to find tweet, and update accordingly. That means that all AL teams didn't claim him, right?
  20. words words words words words, words words words. words words words words words. words words. words.
  21. QUOTE (wrathofhahn @ Feb 15, 2018 -> 01:52 PM) Also Tatis Jr jumps from 52nd to 8th I Just never want to see that name again. Mods should add it to the language filters so it comes up as ***** **.
  22. So cool. Seems like the most televised games we've had yet during a spring.
