There will be another Star Trek movie some day, not necessarily based on Voyager or Enterprise. There is too much money in that franchise and Paramount to be throwing it down the crapper.

I think a GM could be convinced to take a gamble on Paul Konerko who's had maybe 1.5 bad seasons now if the White Sox agreed to pay part of his salary. Then again this GM would probably make us throw in the obligatory top-tier prospect to seal the deal and further deplete our deteriorating farm system.

With the recent immigration business, I think that giving jobs to illegal immigrants equates to taking them from legal citizens. It is a zero sum game. I think it was in California where Gray Davis attempted some similar immigration reforms and lost heavy support from the minorities because he was taking away their jobs and also some of the legitimacy of their legally obtained citizenships. Just my 2 cents.

We need a good phrase that people will search for. Actually right now if you google Chicago White Sox I don't see soxtalk coming up on the first couple pages.
