The division is getting weaker for 2004. I have to agree with that.

Illinois vs North Carolina Thread

Apparently with four fouls it is too risky to put Roger Powell on the court until there's about 30 seconds left. Instead we keep Nick Smith in there with Augustine and 3 guards because he is really contributing. -

Nick Smith takes low percentage shots and does not set good screens or box out that well. I say keep Randle in for as long as possible. EDIT: I'm afraid to look at Dee Brown's FG percentage right now. -

Things I see: Deron looks good, give him the ball Nick Smith playing another subpar game offensively and defensively We keep trading baskets with these guys, we will lose. So far we are taking better care of the ball in 2nd half. GO ILLINI!!!!!!!!!!! -

Jose Hernandez, Jose Valentin, Royce Clayton. Juan Uribe is being compared to names like these. This bodes well for the organization.

I think most these Japanese players wanna play on the West Coast anyways for some reason. Either there or the Yanks. Sure the Sox seem to have the ability to free up a ton of salary for a great prospect in Kaz but we all know that is beyond wishful thinking.
-
Hopefully we get rid of Jose although I don't really think Uribe answers any of our problems. His OBP is lower than Jose's, also made a ton of errors in 2002.

Elf was alot funnier than I expected it to be. Wil Ferrell is at a point right now where he can make any role funny. And if I didn't say it enough before, :fyou Matrix!!11

Sometimes I have to repeat to myself many, Many times that MLB does not need a salary cap. Of course Tom Gordon's market value is 7 million

A super bowl title erased the previous decade of futility.

It's really not a good idea to post that stuff on here. Many forums have been shutdown for less than what you just did.

Wow am I actually posting on Soxtalk?? Hopefully this maintenance will be finished soon enough. Keep up the good work.

Chandler is not the future. I think it's time to call it a year and play Rex Grossman.

How bad will the AL Central be next year?

I've never seen that pic before Oh and Whitesox, BF1942 rules!@ -
Wow, Bonser is top notch but AJ flat out dominates us as far as calling a game behind the plate goes. Glad to see him out of our division AND LEAGUE!!

He's a lurker and known sex offender.

At least we named our team after a real tribe, last time I checked the Cleveland Indians were named after what amounts to little more than a racial slur. Also, if it weren't for colleges, would anyone even know what a Seminole or Illini was? EDIT: or a BLACKHAWK for that matter.

I agree Willie deserves a consistent shot. Sorta like Rowand at the beginning of last year but hopefully he doesn't suck. Willie has shown he possesses the only tool of the "five tools" that you can't teach, speed. When Willie gets on base, he can make stuff happen and give some pitcher/catchers fits. The only problem is he needs to show more patience at the plate (like ALOT of our hitters). Give Willie (#12, #13 whatever is number will be next year) some PT. It can't hurt to have one fast guy in our lineup next year. Too bad he can't throw very well or we could stick him at SS and not have wasted money on Jose's overrated ass. And one more thing, I 2nd the :fyou Roger "Overpaid" Cedeno.
