  1. Holy s***, we are going to pay him like $700K. Why is anyone upset over this? The dude hit .310 last year. In 2014, he hit .309 away from Coors.
  2. With the draft on tonight, and Stanley Cup Final Game 5, there is no chance I see anything but the end of this slaughter.
  3. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS Engel - 2/4, HR, RBI, SB....MY GUY Holmberg - 7 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K
  4. I'm a pretty big fan of LG. Usually priced $100-$300 cheaper than comparable Samsungs.
  5. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 07:04 PM) I feel like Frazier is just trying to stir up excitement. AND IT'S f***ING WORKING! WELCOME TO CHICAGO, CARLOS GONZALEZ!
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 06:49 PM) Channel 2 news sports segment. Straight out of Frazier's mouth. I feel like Frazier is just trying to stir up excitement.
  7. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 06:14 PM) The new Vizio line is nice because it has Chromecast built in to it, effectively making it the best smart functionality of any TV out there. Rtings.com is a really great resource for TV reviews. God damn, this P-Series Vizio is awesome, and it comes with a tablet? DOOOPE. http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/...:gGrpXpOD7zLGaA

  9. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) Hello chaps. I'm looking for a little advice on TV's. Right now my eight year old 42" Samsung is starting to take a dump and I'm in the market for a newer tube. I'm looking to upgrade in size to something around 55-60" and spend around $1k. I've looked at a bunch of Samsungs, Sonys, 4Ks, SUHD, LED, etc., etc., etc. Do any of you have suggestions as to what would be a good living room TV for sports/movies and doing a fair amount of gaming on PS4? I've read a few negative reviews about refresh rate/delays in games on 4K TV's so I want to make sure I'm not getting something that is going to just frustrate me when I get it. Any thoughts/feedback/experiences would be appreciated! The new 2016 Samsung Quantum Dot 4KTVs are really f***ing sharp. Costco has a 55" for a little more than your price range though, $1479 I think on sale right now. The QD ones are an 8 series. Costco has a 55" 6 series for $949 or something on sale right now.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 11:58 AM) Engel in AA before demotion: .170/.314/.310, 28 K, 19 BB in 124 PA (26 G) Engel back in A+: .327/.413/.473, 11 K, 7 BB in 64 PA (14 G) Engel back to AA again: .300/.364/.500, 13 K, 5 BB, in 56 PA (12 G) So his walk rate is actually down a bit this time around (in 12 games), and the K rate is a little higher. But he's hitting the ball far better. Look at his first AA phase - see the huge walk total? He was hesitant. Like Jared Mitchell - not selective (which is good), but passive (which is bad). Now he's being more aggressive, but still not striking out TOO much, which is the right balance for him. In the very very small sample size of ABs I saw from him in ST, he did seem to take a TON of pitches, both balls and strikes. Yes, exactly what I remembered from Jared Mitchell in ST as well.
  11. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 08:32 AM) I'll take it if true, especially if Ray can play CF. BTW Ray is 194th in NCAA D1 OPS qualifiers. It's not (well Im guess it could be), I just made that up because I found the question funny.
  12. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 07:13 PM) What does a .320 BA .950 OPS in D1 equate to in the majors? .260 BA, .820 OPS exactly.
  13. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 12:13 PM) Anyone have an idea why there are some rumblings the Sox are going to stay away from Collins? Callis said on the SSS podcast that Hahn or Hostetler (sp?) went to go see him last week and he went 0 for 4 with 3 Ks and looked awful. Said it doesn't mean they are sour on him, but late impressions tend to stick and could make them shy away. Didn't seem to have any other reasons other than that.
  14. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS Anderson, 2/5, HR, 3 RBI Engel, 2/4, HR, RBI, BB Guerrero, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 2 K Mason Robbins, 2/4, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI (Someone on Twitter today said he thinks Robbins could pop this year. Hitting .304 now. Problem is, the dude has 2 walks this year... TWO) Brennan, 9 IP, 9 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 5, 2016 -> 11:21 PM) Why are you being so mean to that poor guy who made that video?
  16. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Jun 5, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) Managers are so ridiculously scapegoated. It doesn't help that there's an endless supply of rubes who think that changing the guy who pencils in the lineup will automatically make the pitchers get hitters out and the hitters hit with runners in scoring position. Then why the resistance to change managers? I agree that managers don't make much of difference. But I think FIRING a manager and bringing in a new face could change some things in the players mindsets, and I'm for giving that shot because nothing else seems to be working right now.
  17. CG, 9 IP, 8 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K for Spencer Adams on only 91 pitches. Lowered his ERA to 3.41 on the year. He's got 53 K to 15 BB in 74 IP this season.
  18. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS Adams with a good start, but yeah, not missing bats. 8 IP, 7 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. Only 77 pitches somehow. He could easily finish out the CG Shutout.
  19. I haven't done this is a long time, but I'm officially turning off the game. Our aces can't even beat under .500 teams, so f*** IT ALL. Fire Robin, Fire Steverson, fire someone. I want f***ing blood. This is a brutal trainwreck.
  20. Remember when Sale and Q were lights out for 10 starts? That was a ton of fun....now these guys can't even give this putrid offense a chance.
  21. Jesus f***ing Christ....now even Quintana is walking in runs....dear lord.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 5, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Isn't their overall BA about 30 points higher than even the 2nd place AL team in that category? Probably, their offense is unreal. And as I say that, they are getting no-hit in the 6th inning. lol.
  23. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 5, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) Long term - I get it. If Latos was immediately sent to the pen, I could see him becoming a real asshole about it. Hopefully this lights a fire under his ass or allows him to accept a demotion to the pen should he fail. I was just going to say this. Latos probably can't take being sent to the bullpen without some major meltdown or flipping out on someone. Miguel is probably a lot more likely to swallow his pride and just do it.
  24. Want to know our s***ty our s*** offense is??? Our highest BA in today's game, Adam Eaton, would be the 9th best AVG on Boston's team today. They have 8 players in their line-up batting .280 or better.
