  1. NHL 15 review from IGN wasn't that great. Gave it a 7. Said they stripped a lot of features out of the game this year, and basically masked it with a beautiful shell. I think I'll be skipping out on NHL for the first time in like 5 years.
  2. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 11:00 AM) I'm not really a reality show guy, but I caught the first ten minutes or so of Utopia when it came on after the game. I don't know what anyone sees in that show. It's just a big group of idiots yelling at each other, and there's not even some ultimate goal or story driving everything like there are on other shows (e.g. voting people out). Yes there is. Survival. They have to figure out how to create electricity, running water, allocate money to purchase items for the group and I think they can earn money as well by producing crops or goods and then selling them (to whom? I have no idea). As far as voting people out, I believe they said every month there is going to be a vote from the fans to elect a new member in to the society. How they choose the person to replace? I have no idea, but fans of the show will submit bids to join the community and then they will get voted in to the show.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 06:10 PM) Eh, I stil dont see smart watches catching on. I just dont get it. I only see people who currently already wear watches, or people who need to look cool and let people know they have money buying them. I'm sure Apple will sell a s*** ton.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 10:03 AM) Apple will include NFC in the new iPhone, which means mobile payments might finally take off (take off as in registers will actually have NFC sensors in them now and they'll all work). It took Apple long enough to finally invent NFC.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 12:09 AM) If the A's somehow choke, it would make that Lester trade look absolutely awful. The Samardzjia and Hammel trade wouldn't look good either considering the prospects they gave up for a rental and 2 years of a decent, but not great pitcher. Part of the reason they've been so bad is because they haven't hit at all recently. Although Cespedes wasn't a world beater, he did provide some value in the middle of that lineup that they really miss right now. Plus, after Cespedes left guys who hit behind him like Moss kind of fell off a cliff. Well to be fair, Lester and Samardzija have pitched really well in Oakland. It's not like they have been duds, so I don't think those trades were failures, it's just that their offense suddenly fell off a cliff.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 9, 2014 -> 12:14 AM) Pretty interesting show. I think I am going to stick with it. With all these live feeds and girls running around naked, how are there not photos or uncensored videos/photos of this stuff?? This show should be on HBO or Showtime. A lot of cussing and nudity just blurred or bleeped out, takes away half the fun Yeah, I've always wondered why HBO or Showtime hasn't done one of these shows, at least to my knowledge. Seems they could get a big draw from watching real people on TV have sex spontaneously. But in case you are wondering, there IS uncensored video out there of one of the chicks naked in the swimming area. I think it may be the Yoga instructor? I don't know all the people yet, but I watched the video. She's pretty much an A-cup.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 05:46 PM) Plus everyone names their dog Bailey. I actually have never known a single dog named Bailey.
  8. Tyler Flowers hates draft picks. Because of that inexplicable win, we LOST a game on.... Phillies, Cubs, Red Sox, Rockies. We lost a game on every team with a worse record then us. Then we also lost a half a game on the teams that didn't play. Basically, this was a terrible game to ever win. Sox drop back to the #9 pick, are 10 GB of the #1 pick, are 3 GB of the #5 pick, and are 2.5 games ahead of protected pick.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 09:29 AM) I got screwed by Charles and Stacy yesterday. 11 points combined... I would have won if they had given me the 30 that were projected. Also got Julius'd in my money league yesterday, but I was probably going to lose anyhow. Yeah, Frank Gore and Zac Stacy combined for 10 pts for me. The only guys on my team who got double digit pts were Haushka and Vernon Davis. My team did awful.
  10. I'll be honest, I check the Cubs boxscore almost every night just to see how many strikeouts Baez racked up. He's putting on quite the show. In the 3 game set vs. Pittsburgh, he went 1-13....with 10 strikeouts. He is striking out in 42.4% of his PA. Also, he currently has more Ks than TB. And as far as I can tell, the only players who have ever done that in recent history over a full season were Adam Dunn in 2011, Carlos Pena, and Drew Stubbs and Rob Deer (both by 1). Danny Espinosa is currently doing it this season, by 1 strikeout. Basically, it means you are pretty f***ing terrible, and usually requires you to bat around .200 or less.
  11. So who else got f***ed by Julius Thomas tonight?? Hoping for a huge day out of Calvin Johnson tomorrow to pull out a win.
  12. QUOTE (spiderman @ Sep 7, 2014 -> 09:58 PM) I realize it will never happen, and that we are actually trending in the wrong direction on the calendar, but playoff games, should start by, no later than September 15th, roughly 3 weeks before it's ending now. The regular season, if they were to keep 162 games, should have almost no day offs, and a few double-headers mixed in. Playoff games towards the middle to end of October, depending on who is involved is ridiculous to begin with. High temperatures in the day time somewhere in the 50's, night times can be just above freezing if a cold front in in the area, not to mention November weather. The season is too long, and football is in the blood. I'd prefer they just shave 2 weeks off of spring training, move the season up 2 weeks, so every season starts right about at St. Patrick's Day, with the first 2 weeks of games all in warm weather locations. So northern teams wouldn't have their first home opener until early April, but the season would end mid-September.
  13. With today's Sox loss, we gained a game on..... Texas, Houston, Colorado. Sox still have the 8th pick, are 9.5 GB of Texas for the #1 pick, are 2.5 GB of the Twins for the #5 pick, and are 4 games ahead of the Reds for a protected pick.
  14. I realize this probably sounds really stupid, but my parents and I have been trying to agree on a name for the new puppy. I've always wanted the name Bailey for a dog of mine, and apparently my mom has as well. I wrote down a list of like 20 names that I liked and we sat down and went through them all. My mom said she hated every single one of them. My dad liked a couple. A week ago we finally got it down to between Zoey or Abby. My mom liked Zoey, my dad liked Abby, but neither liked the other name. I said I liked both names, but since it will really be THEIR dog and not mine, I said go ahead and name the dog whatever name you want, as long as it isn't Bailey. So my mom decides the new puppy will be named Bailey. I guess it's not fair that I "hog" this name and don't allow them to use it, so I told her how about neither one of us names our dogs that name, since we both love it so much. She said too bad, it's not my decision. Am I wrong for being so disgusted in this? It's going to piss me off every time I call this dog by her name, since it's the name I've always wanted to name my first dog. Like I told her, I'd rather neither of us use the name, but no. I'm trying to get tell myself not to give a s***, but I can't help but feel like she's just being a dick by not considering any other names instead. It's especially annoying since my dad and I have done all the work finding a dog. I am the one who located this breeder, my dad and I have sent emails and called about this person and my mom has stayed mostly uninterested each time we try and update her about a dog, even saying she is fine with not even getting a dog. We've had to convince her to get this puppy. Ugh, f***ing 1st world problems, I tell ya.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 7, 2014 -> 07:16 PM) Anyone watching utopia? Figure the big brother crowd would eat this s*** up. It's good 15 mins in. It reminds me of The Colony, which was a great show. I don't like reality TV at all, but I like shows like The Colony and this where people have to put there skills to use to create things. The thing that confuses me is, how is it you can watch what is going on 24 hours a day online? Obviously the episode we watched tonight and the episode on Tuesday have been filmed already, so how will it make sense to see what is going on "live", when it it weeks or months ahead of what we are seeing on TV tonight and Tuesday? I don't understand that aspect of it. I think Big Brother does the same thing.
  16. After last night, the Sox still currently hold the 8th pick, are 10.5 GB of the #1 pick, are 2.5 GB of the #5 pick, and are still 3.5 games ahead of the Mets for a protected pick.
  17. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Sep 6, 2014 -> 09:51 PM) If Boston can hold on, both Sox teams would be in a 7th pick tie. The tiebreaker is last year's record, so the White Sox will win the tiebreaker with every team other than the Astros.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 09:37 PM) Apple wields a whole hell of a lot of influence over the way they are covered in the tech media From controlling the narrative on their brand, to punishing journalists/organizations who don't cooperate, to pushing stories that make competitors look bad Sounds about right,
  19. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) Brittanys are awesome dogs. I have seen a few at the dog park and they are friendly and love playing. The only thing I dislike is the short tail. Yeah, it's weird that they have naturally docked tails.
  20. Sorry I haven't been updating, my brother got married yesterday, so I was out of town for the festivities. Here is your update..... Sox currently have the #8 pick, are 10.5 GB of the #1 pick, are 2.5 GB of the #5 pick, and are 4 games ahead of the Padres for a protected pick.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:43 PM) 33 here, I am glad I missed this trend, if I was a college freshman with my long distance gf I probably would have done this s***. I mean, how many girls want a dick pic? Haha, I ask the same question. How many different angles get you even get before it becomes boring? Haha. Nothing sexy about a dong. That's why you've got to a great dirty talker and then they don't even ask for pics back, as long as you keep talking.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:42 PM) My best friend growing up had 2-3 Brittany's at any time. Be prepared for a very energetic dog. They have a lot of personality though too. Yeah I've read a lot of about that, but thankfully we have a half acre fenced in back yard, and a lake house for her to swim her little heart out. I'm hoping that suffices. We've never had a spaz dog before, so I'm sure it was take getting used to during the winter when she is stuck inside.
  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) Lol, so you are one of those dudes. I'm 32 and have been with my wife for nearly 10 years. Haven't been in the dating game a LONG time. I was chatting with some girl friends of mine who are younger, 24-25, about these nude pics and they were telling me that they constantly get hit up with dick pics from guys they meet. They'll just immediately send out a dick pic through a text. I wondered, who does that? Why do that? There's no way I would ever do that. I've never sent one through text, just snapchat. And never unexpected either. lmao. It's all girls I meet through Tinder, so you already know they are down when they give you their snapchat username.
  24. And the reason I was looking for this thread was because a few days ago my dad went to go visit a breeder and put a deposit down on a new litter of American Brittanys. We will get pick of the litter, and are going with an orange and white female. We chose the breed because my mom requested a medium size dog instead of the large dogs that we've always had, and she wanted a dog with short hair because our retriever's shedding was out of control. My dad and I wanted a dog that was very sporty and loves water. I eventually came across the breed of a Brittany that none of us, or anyone I've talked to, has ever heard of. They used to be called Brittany Spaniel's, but the spaniel name dropped out sometime in the 80s I believe. These dogs are fantastic hunting dogs, even though ours will be a family pet and not used for sport. Here is a google image search of various Brittanys https://www.google.com/search?q=American+Br..._AUoAQ#imgdii=_
