  1. Adam Eaton with a peg from CF to nail the runner at 3rd. EDIT: Upon further review, it looks like an awful call.
  2. QUOTE (bulokis @ Mar 26, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Leury Garcia being a defensive SS has not shown me enough to warrant he makes the team. He is really the only option we have to play SS with Beckham and Kepp injured, unless you let Luery play 2B and let Semien fill in at SS? And our defense continues to be awful. 4 errors through 4 innings and Nieto didn't come anywhere near catching a popup behind home plate.
  3. Abreu 3-run HR. As soon he hit it, he knew it was gone, which is baffling to me considering he pretty much hit it off the very end of the bat. That's some crazy strength + wind to put that ball 15 feet passed the wall.
  4. 2 bad defensive plays by Abreu back to back. Yeesh.
  5. He's got some pretty bad control problems.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 26, 2014 -> 12:54 PM) I don't sit up that high. And we are mere peasants, sire.
  7. Nice, thanks. Do they do this every month? My buddy and I are planning on going to the entire Sox/Dbacks series in May.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 26, 2014 -> 07:38 AM) Underwhelming. http://www.lollapalooza.com/2014-lineup/ The only name I needed to see on there...... Childish Gambino.
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 26, 2014 -> 12:00 AM) Under/under. Expecting some adjustment time, plus we've seen the Cubans don't like April in Chicago. Although would anyone here be disappointed with 25/80? The RBI projection isn't that high relative to the homers, but with this lineup that's probably fair. I would be perfectly happy with 25/80, as long as it's .275+. That right there probably gets him a ROY award, unless Tanaka debuts just as well. 25/80/.275 would be nearly identical to what Prince Fielder did last year, but if, unlike Prince, Abreu can be just an average 1B, that type of season should net him a 3+ WAR, which would have put him #1 among AL rookies last year.
  10. I think my prediction a while back was 28/106, making the assumption that he would be a great hitter w/RISP.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 11:12 PM) Zero shots on goal. Bust! What a crock. But seriously, he looked pretty solid out there. Made a couple nice defensive plays and although it seemed like he barely had the puck tonight, he did show his quick hands and stick handling. He couldn't have been any less physical though. I was afraid someone was going to hit him and he'd break in half.
  12. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) I requested off work a while back. Now just gotta stock up on the essentials: beer, dogs, peanuts, popcorn, cracker jacks, sunflower seeds, cotton candy and big league chew. Think I didn't miss anything, that's been my Opening Day shopping list the past few years. Same here. I'm hoping someone comes through with tickets, otherwise I'll probably have to take some sleeping pills the night before to force me to sleep. Usually I can't fall asleep because I am so excited. It's the equivalent of Christmas morning when I was a kid.
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 03:50 PM) Kolek, Beede, Rodon, Hoffman, Aiken. Sox will get to choose from three of those. I like. Because everyone seems to be ranking their choices, I'll list my "Big Board" as such.... 1) Rodon 2) Beede 3) Aiken 4) Hoffman 5) Kolek
  14. Teuvo Time tonight. I expect nothing less than 2 goals and 2 assists out of Viner tonight.
  15. I don't think there is any way you pass on Rodon, no matter what pick you have. After Rodon you could go a bunch of different ways. There may not be a position player picked in the top 5.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) PS4 is a longer wait. Correct.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 11:48 AM) This gives Jose a hell of a lot of room for regression/injury/etc, too. To earn this contract, he doesn't have to be nearly as good as he has been. That was my take away as well. He was a top 25 starter last year with that 3.7 WAR. He could be only 1/3 of the pitcher he was for the remainder of this deal and he would still outperform the contract. He could realistically earn this entire deal before it's halfway over. The years of arb we bought out was moderately fair. But those 3 FA years are going to be absolute steals.
  18. QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 10:02 AM) How long ago was that? I always like seeing how long it takes to go from filming to airing. Feb. 13th. The guy I was with snapped this picture right after we got kicked off the set.
  19. Just 8 days away from The Show '14. And it's been confirmed that you can start an Online Franchise with just 1 human player, which is great news.
  20. QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 08:45 AM) Was that actually filmed in Kenosha, or somewhere down in NWI? It was filmed in Lynwood, IL, about 1/4 mile over the IN/IL border at a place called the "Lynwood Carry Out". They changed the sign, obviously.
  21. Finally got to see that "Kenosha Carry Out" scene that I watched being filmed last month. Now I get why I didn't recognize Emmy Rossum, because she was so drugged up and ugly. It's a shame the big reflector screen was blocking me from seeing Lip. I was assuming it was Robbie this entire time.
  22. And Barnum strikes out on 3 pitches, and then Kevan Smith GIDP on first pitch. Nicely done, time for the Hawks game.
  23. Hoping to see Keon Barnum take some hacks in the top of the 9th.
