  1. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 12:01 AM) This is why it's hard to root for this team. Have we had a walk off win all year at home? I am sure we have but I don't remember one... The only one I can think of is the one against the Pirates I think when they threw the intentional walk pitch over the catcher, and we scored and won.
  2. f***. f***. f***. I thought for sure that ball was going up the middle....
  3. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 11:34 PM) His minor league numbers are terrific, so he definitely profiles as a starting MLB pitcher. However, his mediocre stuff would indicate he is a back-of-the-rotation starter. But all he has done in the minors is dominate, so some guys production simple belie their talents. Maybe he is one of them. Greg Maddux never overwhelmed anyone with stuff. Not saying Axelrod is Maddux, but others have proven that production isn't always about talent. At the very least, he is depth, and that's always a very good thing to have.
  4. 4 triples in one game for us? LOL WHAT? You KNOW Gordon wants to win this after messing up the game in the top of the 9th.......
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 11:32 PM) Of course, we're 5-10 or something like that in extra innings...maybe worse? 4-6 I think, or maybe 4-7.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) Isn't that every single bad Santos appearance has been at home? Pretty much, considering he hasn't allowed a run on the road this season.
  7. 2/5 for Wilkins. Got his avg up to .270
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 07:15 PM) As much as I wanted Viciedo promoted a month ago, he's been brutal for a few weeks. Something obviously is not right with him, so I'm not going to lose sleep over him not being with the big league club right now. I would say his injured hand has a lot to do with it.
  9. Awesome big Jim. Love that dude. Classy, classy guy.
  10. Did he swing at the pitch that hit him in the foot? lol. Sox win.
  11. That was some crazy range on that jump though by Morel. Like a damn frog.
  12. Hawk f***ed up that call, almost better the throw was late. lol. Amazing stop though.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) Hell, I don't mind him hitting it up the middle one bit. I'd rather have him staying up the middle and not hitting teh ball out...because he'll make better contact if he's staying up the middle. I'm not complaining, I am just pointing out he is getting a little unlucky with his deep flyballs right now, hitting them to the deepest part of the park.
  14. Long single by Konerko. LOL. God I wish he had mediocre speed.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:24 PM) Flowers got that ball off the end of the bat and it went 390 for an out. He makes contact and the ball goes a long way. If he would pull the ball a little more, he would have 3 home-runs by now.
  16. Yeah, Frasor has not been impressive at all. Thank god we got Zach Stewart in that trade, he looks like the centerpiece for sure.
  17. Andy Dirks strikes out, Magglio grounds out. O's walk Miggy to load the bases up. It's up to Will Rhymes, tying run at 1st, 2 outs in the 9th.
  18. Hey, what do ya know, the Tigers were down 8-1 going in to the 9th, and now have the tying run a the plate with 0 outs.........f***ING AWESOME JOB BALTIMORE.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:52 PM) Wow, how do you have no one warming up? Ohman just got up.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:50 PM) Calling Juan a terrible baseball player is just wrong. It is so wrong. Juan is a terrible baseball player who happens to have good contact skills. One redeeming quality does not make him much less of a terrible player. At his best, he is average.
  21. Well that was quick. Get Johnny out of there.....
  22. Johnny needs to keep throwing strikes and stop worrying about a certain accomplishment. He might not make it past the 7th inning at this rate.
