White Sox vs. Oakland A's
QUOTE (peanut33tillman @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 04:36 PM) Ozzie is the utmost worst manager in baseball when it comes to dealing with BPs an absolute moron. At this point, I think ANYONE who comes in to the game in the 9th is going to look like s***. It's not like we have a lights out bullpen pitcher he should be using. Santos is the only guy who is doing great, and he pitched 2 innings yesterday.

Bobby must be chuckled his lard ass off somewhere right now. Our bullpen is just comical. I can only laugh now when I see this meltdown day in and day out.

Earlier when Anderson missed the grounder to him. DJ - "Anderson just missed that ball. He is not a very good fielder" Farmer - "Not very good is a compliment"

Farmer is killing me today. DJ - "You know what happens when Carlos gets hit by a pitch?" Farmer - "He goes to first?"

I can't believe Beckham is still hitting .289. It feels like he is has like 2 hits the past week.

2011 TV Thread
I liked Sports Show, but his Blake Griffin skit was kind of lame. The Tiger Woods thing was hilarious.

2010-2011 NHL thread
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 12:55 AM) After reading what you all said in response to my questions ... I see no way the Hawks win more than two games this series. No way. Our goalie sounds like he's been overworked. And he's young. With no backup, it could get ugly. Feel free to respond as I am only going off what I've learned of late in this thread. I am a playoff bandwagon fan sadly. Well I mean, we have a backup, and honestly Turco (our backup), would be starting for a lot of teams. So if you think about it, the Hawks have probably one of the best backups in the league, the problem is that the better goalie is the inexperienced rookie with no playoff games under his belt. I am personally pretty optimistic about this series. Yes, we are playing the #1 seed, but the past two seasons have ended for the Canucks at the hand of the Blackhawks. Loungo probably has nightmares about hearing Chelsea's Dagger. I think we are better off than other #8 seed would.

Juan Pierre
You know who Ozzie should have put in as a defensive replacement in LF? Andruw Jones. Oh wait.

April 11th Game Thread White Sox versus Athletics
QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 10:55 PM) Maybe it's just me...but I still send Mark out there in the 9th pitching a shutout. Not like he had a ridiculous pitch count... That's what I said earlier. As an A's hitter, you would LOVE to see anyone but the guy who has just dominated you for 8 innings already. Getting a new pitcher out there was such a morale boost for them.

So by my counts, we have 4 dropped flyballs in LF this year. 2 by Pierre, 1 by Milledge, and 1 by Teahen.

A's announcers "And now, here is the Juan Pierre, the reason we are lucky enough to be in the 10th inning right now"

This online feed is behind you guys, but that pitch Crain threw on the double down the line was a real good pitch. I can't believe that he got a piece of that.

But yeah, Milledge's defense is totally terrible. Good thing we cut him. LOL

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 11, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Beckham off to a lousy start in becoming the Sox's third consecutive POTW. No, but Buehrle is.
-
April 11th Game Thread White Sox versus Athletics
Let Mark finish it. The A's can not figure him out right now. If I was the A's hitter, I would LOVE to see a new arm in there. Just having Buehrle out there for the 9th should demoralize them.

April 11th Game Thread White Sox versus Athletics
The A's announcers are easily amazed. They just spent about a minute talking about how amazing it was that Braden was able to take off his shoe and put it back on without touching the laces. They then showed a slow motion replay of it, and talked about how they could never do that, and they've never seen something like that. I don't think I've had to tie my shoes more than once this year. Suddenly Hawk doesn't seem so bad.

On A's tv broadcast, they talked about Lillibridge's HR, while showing video of Morel. Sooo insulting.
-
April 11th Game Thread White Sox versus Athletics
I semi-called the Lilli HR too on another site. "Cool stat. Sox have 9,999 franchise HR. Tonight, someone may hit the 10,000 White Sox home-run ever. If there is a baseball god, it will be Paul Konerko. But I have a feeling someone like Teahen or Lillibridge will ruin the magic."
-
Who will hit the 10,000th HR for the Sox?
It would be perfectly fitting if it was Konerko. But someone like Teahen will ruin the magic.
