  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 02:09 PM) Ok, the quality is amazing. This is nuts. It's jizz city. I can select any of 4 audios to go with the games. TV Announcer Homer, Radio Announcer Home, TV Announcer Away, Radio Announcer away. I can single, dual, or quad box this s***. I can set my fantasy players so it tells me when one of my players is up... switch the game. AWESOME. Wait, seriously? You can do split screen games and stuff? And it will tell you when your player is up? That's sick. I'd stopped watching it on my PS3 because it's not very good on the school internet. Always choppy, and often loses the picture for 5-6 seconds at a time. It's much, much smoother on my computer. Hopefully when I am home in 4 weeks I can watch it at home on my ps3 w/ better quality.
  2. Also, I'm sure I've asked already last year, but who is Terry Doyle, is why is he seemingly dominating all the time, but not getting any notice or promotion? I mean, he is in his 4th pro year, and has yet to post a K/BB lower than 2.91 at any level. He just doesn't seem to have enough arm strength though. It seems he only goes 4-5 innings each time. Wonder if it's pitch count, or lack of stamina.
  3. I realize that Gookie Dawkins is 31 years old, but what the hell has gotten in to this guy? He had 2 AB's in the spring, and hit 2 HR. He now has 2 HR in 7 AB this year, and is hitting .714. Have yourself a month, jeez.
  4. I turn the game off with 1 out in the 9th, only a runner on 1st, and a 3 run lead, and I come back to see a loss. Wow, s*** the bed. It's sounds like Matty Dice is not fooling many people in the closer role for whatever reason. I'd like to see Santos get a shot.
  5. I keep all my ticket stubs. Not sure when I started this, but I think my oldest goes back to like 2000, when I started watching baseball. My dad got me in to this tradition, as he has been keeping tickets his whole life. My dad writes on the back of the stub who he went with, and the final score. I just write if anything memorable happened, like milestones, debuts, great plays, no-hitters, etc.
  6. So if he decides to come back like next year or in 2 years, he would still have to serve his 100 game suspension, right?
  7. Saw Frozen on Netflix last night. s***, that movie gave me such a hopeless feeling. Kind of like Buried did. I don't want to spoil anything, but I was kind of having some anxiety watching it and just feeling like I would have no chance of survival in that situation! Except I would jump off w/ my snowboard on of course. Spread out the points of impact and reduce the impact on my legs, but that's just me.
  8. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 01:46 AM) Keep it going JoeCoolman, beat Tex's record winning streak on the year. Who won the streak last year? I think my longest last year was 4 or 5, but I assume whoever had the 11-game Sox win streak won it, unless they forgot to post.
  9. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 01:43 AM) I'm almost positive you and I are the only people online. And yes, I hate WCIU games. Yeah, WCIU blows.
  10. Let's go boys! Going for 3 straight wins, and a 5-2 record!! And with that, I offer..... Go Sox!
  11. Also, I believe I heard Soria never allowed more than 4 runs in any MONTH last year, and he allowed 4 in one inning against us.
  12. I love Andruw. I wanted him back more than AJ.
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 04:53 PM) Fielding is different from pitching. You could watch me for one inning and know that I was clueless in the outfield. And yet, I did mention that if he went to Charlotte and played everyday, which he has no chance of doing in Chicago, he'd get to play in the outfield regularly to improve or, at the very least, look better. If he doesn't clear waivers, it's not a huge loss. I think he will, he'll go to Charlotte, and he'll be back up at some point later this year. I hope he clears them too, but I'm not counting on it. De Aza is unfortunately our best option.
  14. 20 K in 14 IP for Jackson this year? That'll work.
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) Damn, tensions are beginning to boil. Odds are very good that Milledge clears waivers. He still has a reputation of a problem child, and he has looked absolutely brutal in the field. There is also undoubtedly going to be thought that, if he leaves the Sox organization, a place where he has seemingly been happy for the past 2 months, he is going to throw a fit and cause a ruckus on the opposing team. Anybody who claimed him would have to either keep him on their roster, which I doubt would happen, or they'd have to send him through waivers, at which point I imagine the Sox would put a claim in for him again, and they will continue to play waiver tag until Lastings ends up in Charlotte. If he plays in Charlotte, he'll atleast get to play the outfield everyday. If he hasn't figure out how to catch a flyball yet, he's never going to, but atleast in Charlotte he'll get regular opportunities to do so. Perhaps when he comes up the next time, he won't look like an 8 year old, which is to say that he is scared but willing to make the play, kind of half sticking his arm out hoping it falls into his glove. Eh erhm..... And I highly doubt he clears waivers. He CHOOSE the Sox. He had other offers. After that spring he put him, I'd be surprised if someone doesn't put in a claim.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 02:59 PM) Its the first week of April. People aren't really going 120 pitches yet. You were saying?
  17. Now is when we REALLY need a strikeout the most. Let's see if E-Jax can ring up his 13th. EDIT: Nope, guess not. Run scores. Damnit, shutout would have been nice.
  18. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 04:09 PM) Remember 2005? We were the best 1st inning team in the league, so hopefully that will give us some hope considering how good we've been in the 1st this year in the short sample size Yep. We had a lead in our first.....51 games or something, right? I know this year we have led in all 6 games.
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) Sox messed up a rundown? Ugh. Hope this doesn't came back to haunt us..... Edwin says "Nah, it's cool. I got this."
