  1. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) I'm excited for the Sox to come to town, I just don't want my boys to get swept. We've pounded Gavin Floyd (3-7, 4.79 ERA in 11 starts/1-4, 6.26 in 6 starts @ Kauffman) pretty well in the past, but of course there's been a lot of turnover in our line-up. Hochevar has pitched well against the Sox (3-3, 3.65 ERA in 7 starts, including his only career shutout) but you never know what he's going to give you... I think most of us Sox fans are expecting a split.
  2. For some reason I just think that Floyd is going to dominate tonight.
  3. It's kind of funny to think that Ozzie had Alexei bunt, so keep him away from grounding into a double play, and instead he bunts into a triple play. lol.
  4. I know someone who has sneaked inside that area during a home run, and he said it was awesome. I believe you have your own private restaurent and lounge underneath, and I think you might even get special parking inside the stadium, but I'm not sure. I think all the food is included as well, and might get special privileges to the clubhouse before/after the game.
  5. QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 01:05 AM) I say a split. Me too. I say that Floyd dominates, and we win something like 5-1, and then Buehrle gets pushed around and we lose 6-3.
  6. QUOTE (IChaseBlackWood @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 12:27 AM) Sooo, guess who's one of Chase's roommates!? Lol Burt Bacharach?
  7. Maybe I'll have the watch the 2nd episode of The Killing if you guys think it was as good as you say.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 06:37 PM) Failure. Soria > Nathan. Pence >>> Byrd Yeah, I am OFFERING Nathan and Byrd, and hope to get Soria and Pence in return. I am hoping this guy reads more in to the names and teams than the players.
  9. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 11:00 PM) Rios, Rios, Rios, Rios, Rios. Clearly Rios won't get a hit until Game 6, because I picked him for the first 5 games, and he is hitless.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 11:44 PM) I just threw a random hyperbolic number out there. Oh. It wasn't outrageous enough for me. Sorry.
  11. Well, my dog officially won our family bracket with 1050 pts. Had I actually made some adjustments of her picks to make them smarter, she would have probably finished in the top 99.9%. Instead, she finished in the 97.3%.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 09:04 PM) Elvis Andrus homered. /thread Nelson Cruz has also homered for the 4th consecutive game. He's on pace for about 356. I love the offensive explosions we've seen so far. Pitchers' duels are boring as s***. Wouldn't he be on pace for 162? Or did he have a multi-HR game in there?
  13. So anyone know of a good proxy I can try and use to bypass the awful MLB blackout restrictions? I turns out I am only 33 miles away from being out of blackout range. ugh. But I'm not going to travel 45 minutes to sit in a hotel parking lot to watch the games.
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) In his defense, you can't read the Oakland series with the script gray Chicago. Yeah, that's what I am referring to. I mean, if I stare at it for a few second and squint I can figure it out.
  15. Montero has been pretty great for me so far. I got Montero and Arrencibia, so my catchers are looking stout. I currently have a trade offered to a guy. I am offering Joe Nathan and Marlon Bryd for Hunter Pence and Joakim Soria. I doubt he agrees to it though. Every trade I've offered has been rejected, even when I offered Bryd and Jurrjens for Rios and Morel. I thought that was a pretty good trade for him considering he didn't even have enough pitchers to fill a team, and Jurrjens wasn't injured yet.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 05:43 PM) 10 day weeks in Fantasy suck. I would have already won in our sabr league against you if the 3 games accounted for one week...lol. yeah, i'm 8-2 right now in my matchup, but I got another week to try and hold that lead.
  17. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) Caught the premiere of The Killing last night. In my opinion, it was one of the best starts to a new show in a long time. I hope it stays this good. Really? I thought it was slow, and I still don't know the point of the show. It's all about this girl?
  18. On the Tigers/O's game, they just showed the standings in the AL East since Showwalter took over, and the O's have the best record in the East since he took over.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 05:12 PM) Craig Kimbrel is f***ing sick. And this is why Sox fans drive me crazy with the notion that you have to suck for 10 years to develop legitimate talent from within. He was a third round pick. We used a first round pick on a guy that will more than likely end up where Kimbrel is, anyway. It's going to be fun to see who racks up more Ks between he and Marmol. Yeah, I just watched him on mlb.tv. Dude was gassing it by everyone with great control. I like how he clearly struck out the 2nd batter in the inning, but then struck him out again on the next pitch. lol.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 04:33 PM) Kinsler or Cruz probably should've won it. Though the 'honor' means little. And on a completely meaningless sidenote: I'm gonna be pissed if Kinsler stays healthy this year. He burned me in multiple leagues every year from '08-'10. I avoided him in all drafts like the black plague this year. I've taken Kinsler for the 3rd straight year now. He is raking, so I am happy.
  21. Quentin won AL Player of the Weekend? Awesome.
  22. I thought Breakout Kings was really good today. I liked the story. Saw the first hour of that new show on AMC, The Killing. Wasn't much of a fan. Is the whole series searching for the killer of the girl? Or is that just the season 1 plot? And I wished they would have picked a good looking lead female at least. lol. The chick they have is not easy on the eyes.
  23. I've heard that Source Code was really good. Looks cool. May try and watch it online.
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 09:15 AM) Watched Cyrus last night, starring John C Reilly, Marissa Tomei and Jonah Hill. I'd give it a B. I give it an F. It was hard to get through. Had my roommate and I not rented the actual DVD from Netflix, and watched it streaming instead, we would have never finished it.
