  1. Anyone else get annoyed when Hawk says "Rack em up!" when the ball is just being thrown from 2B? It lends itself to a "NO!!!" yell by Hawk if the throw is bad or Konerko can't make the scoop or whatever it may be.
  2. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) I don't think he'd have gotten there even with a good jump. I think he would have.
  3. Thank god. I would have been disappointed if we couldn't score Beckham after starting the inning 2nd and 3rd w/ 0 outs, and Beckham making a bad read on the Konerko singled. Now all if forgiven. Thanks Carlos!
  4. Sit back, relax, and strap it down! It's time for White Sox Baseball!!!!!
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) Are they going to be able to play? God damn, they better.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 03:40 AM) For those of you with MLB 11 The Show, download the Operation Sports Full Minors roster. It has pretty much every single prospect of every single team - a full-out realistic 90 man roster for each team. Oh s***, it's out? Usually I am checking the site every day for those rosters, but his year I totally forgot since I've been so wrapped up in school/RTTS.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) You're right. I'll fix that now. All fixed! There we go! But despite not being able to read some of the dates due to color choice, it'll work.
  8. I am claiming a 6-3 Sox win. Rios hits a 3-run HR. Beckham goes 3/4, and Thornton gets his first save.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) Try 1024x768 That looks better, thanks.
  10. At least Sale, Thornton, and Sergio are having some fun w/ this snow..... http://www.csnchicago.com/03/31/11/Sox-Dra...&feedID=661 Don't hurt yourself boys!
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 03:10 PM) How large is your monitor? 15" widescreen HD. Not that large, I know, but the picture is small enough that it has to stretch to fit.
  12. Maybe I'm just not good w/ wallpapers, but I choose the largest size, and after applying it, it's hard to read the words on the schedule for each day. If I squint I can read it, but it's a little pixelated. Any chance for a bigger image?
  13. new MLB Gameday is going to make me follow many more games that i normall wouldn't. And the video updates are so quick! I love it.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 02:20 PM) Thanks for the memories Jermaine. Class act in my mind and those few years with the Sox were fantastic!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OjF_At3BKQ
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) http://twitter.com/JesseCrain/statuses/53286967621844992 Yep, saw that. Shed a tear. Punched a baby. Weather.com tells me there are about 2+ inches on the ground. Roger Bossard better be air-lifted to Cleveland to do some work.
  16. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 10:38 PM) I've give you the 09 Yankees, but they are more an exception than the rule. 2008 Phillies were pitching. Ehh, I don't know. Hamels Moyer Myers Kendrick Eaton/Blanton Hamels was the only one with a great year. Moyer had an above-average year, Myers had an average year, while Kendrick, Eaton, and Blanton all had pretty bad years. And a loaded offense with Burrel, Howard, and Utley with 33+ HR.
  17. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 10:21 PM) When was the last WS won off of offense? 2009 Yankees? 2008 Phillies?
  18. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 09:37 PM) When did Boston get a pitching staff? Lester, Buchholz, Lackey, Beckett, Matsuzaka will be enough for that lineup.
  19. Wilkins will be starting the 2011 season in Winston-Salem after putting together a very nice 53 games at Great Falls. He had a .307/.396/.463/.859 slash line with 6 HR, 40 RBI, 14 2B, 7 SB, 31 K, and 33 BB in 53 games. 12% K rate is very good for a power hitter, and his 7 SB in 9 attempts is nice. I love that he can get on base at a good clip as well. I assume Wilkins will progress nicely through Winston-Salem as well, and make it to AA-Birmingham before the year ends, where he will really show us what he is made of. If Wilkins can show progression into AA as well, he might find himself on some top10 lists for the Sox, and give the Sox the really only good looking 1B prospect in our system (if Viciedo sticks it in the OF) since Brandon Allen.
