2011 TV Thread
I thought Breakout Kings was really good today. I liked the story. Saw the first hour of that new show on AMC, The Killing. Wasn't much of a fan. Is the whole series searching for the killer of the girl? Or is that just the season 1 plot? And I wished they would have picked a good looking lead female at least. lol. The chick they have is not easy on the eyes.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 09:15 AM) Watched Cyrus last night, starring John C Reilly, Marissa Tomei and Jonah Hill. I'd give it a B. I give it an F. It was hard to get through. Had my roommate and I not rented the actual DVD from Netflix, and watched it streaming instead, we would have never finished it.

Matt Treanor in his 2nd attempt to win the game, hits a 3-run WALKOFF HR to beat the Angels and are now in 1st place, and 3-1 in the division.

Sox (2-0) at Cleveland (0-2) 4/3 @ 12:05 CSN
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 06:33 PM) I'm going to give Ozzie a break. If Alexei gets the runners over, chances are he comes back with Omar trying to do the same thing with a squeeze play. And if that worked, everyone is happy. Alexei just didn't get the job done in a close game where Danks and Masterson were both pitching well. Now if it was Vizquel and Pierre on 1st and 2nd, I wouldn't want Beckham to sacrifice with his live bat and Dunn and Konerko coming up behind him. The only kind of bunts that Alexei should be doing are drag bunts for a hit. He seems to be able to drop down some nice bunts down the 3B line when he trying to get a hit. But when he is squaring up, he is real bad.

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) ya, tho that triple play was boneheaded lolol. Let Ozzie learn his lessons now against bad teams that aren't going to be any competition for us going out.

Joe Nathan isn't looking to good vs. Jays right now. I wish I didn't have him on my fantasy team now, because I'd like for him to blow this game.

You guys know how the saying goes. "Bunting is the hardest thing to do in baseball"

Sox (2-0) at Cleveland (0-2) 4/3 @ 12:05 CSN
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) It was a nice play. It appeared to be a bunt and run, but under no circumstance is a bunt anything but bad if its caught on the fly. It was bad, because it was in the air, but I didn't think it was terrible. A lot of times that bunt would get down, even with the 1 second of hangtime it had.

Sox (2-0) at Cleveland (0-2) 4/3 @ 12:05 CSN
So no one wants to say it was a great play by the 1B, but rather that it was a terrible bunt by Alexei? I mean, if it was a terrible bunt, then the fielder would not have to of dove and made a fantastic play to get it in the end of his mitt. A terrible bunt would have made for an easy out, not a spectacular play. Terrible baserunning, sure. Terrible bunt? Eh.

mlb tv
My friend and I are sharing MLB.tv accounts right now on our PS3's. It's really awesome, except for being blacked out from like 4 or 5 teams, including the Sox. Until I find a good proxy for use, I will just have to find random streaming sources to watch the Sox game, and then once the game is archived on mlb.tv, I can go back and watch certain innings or plays. But right now I got the Yankees/Tigers game going, and will have the A's/M's game as soon as it starts.

Hopefully no typical Ozzie "Sunday Lineup". I want at least 8 of those same 9 out there tomorrow. Give Morel or Rios a day off if you want, but leave me the others.

QUOTE (gettysburg32 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) The Royals have five times the attendance of CLE today Ok, Mark Gonzalez is posting that the attendance is about 10K in Cleveland right now. I am not so sure the Royals are drawing 50K right now...

QUOTE (gettysburg32 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) The Royals have five times the attendance of CLE today Seriously? I would guess that means KC has about 25,000 there, which means like 5K here in Cleveland? Wow, that's awful.

Sox (1-0) at Cleveland (0-1) April 2: 12:05 WGN
Any chance the guns in cleveland are a little slow? Or does it seem like each pitcher has lost 2-3 MPH? I want to see Thornton pitch since he is always a consistent 97+. If he is hitting 93-95, then I will be convinced it's a slow gun.

They have finally got the Xfinity K-zone working right. Showing the pitch location after the replay, not before it.
