  1. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 10:06 PM) For cereal? I don't see it, but I'm far from an expert. Are they really abandoning him as a super-utility? Huh. Mark Teahen would make a fine super-utility player, or at least a solid pinch-hitter, just not as his contract. I'd love to dump him somewhere.
  2. QUOTE (QuincyStandback @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 03:27 AM) Make sure your PS3 is in well ventilated area (not in a closed cabinet, or on the floor) and free of dust. It usually happens when your PS3 overheats. When that happens, just turn it off and unplug everything for a couple of hours. If you want, you can take the shell off the PS3 and clear out the dust and stuff. But i wouldn't recommend it if you don't know what you are doing. It happened to my 20GB a few times, but it worked after I followed those steps. Eventually, it kept happening to the point where it wouldn't turn on anymore and i had to buy a new one. I could have sent it into Sony but it would have cost $150+ to replace, so i just got a new one. If it is turning on and working right now you are fine, just make sure the fan isn't covered. A lot of the early PS3's overheat and have the same problem. Hope this helped. Good Luck. Yeah, or you can take it in to a place in Chicago who will fix it for $50. Only thing is that they fix it, not replace the part, so it's just a temporary fix, but at least it allows you time to back up your harddrive and save all your game saves. Mine is going on over a month now on the their fix.
  3. QUOTE (DGSOXFan14 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 09:51 AM) We are gathering some of the greatest names minor league baseball has ever known. First Dallas McPherson, now Lastings Milledge, whos next? Ben Grieve?! In all seriousness tho, I love both of these moves. Both add depth at positions needed and may just need a change of scenery to spark their once promising careers. Well done KW. I'm hoping for Quentin McCracken, Coco Crisp, and then top it all off with Junior Spivey.
  4. QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 11:12 PM) I finally picked up a PS3, because my Xbox 360 ate my games, but it is an old 40 GB one. I was playing today and the fan started to go on and a yellow light started flickering. I know the yellow light thing=red ring of death for 360. Is my PS3 f***ed, or is it possible to save it? The system works at the moment. I assume you are speaking of the tiny little light that flashes really fast. If you are, that's normal. Not sure what it means exactly, but it's always happened to mine too. I think it might be the HDD indicator, but I'm not sure. If the spot where the PS3 is red (when off) or green (when on) turns yellow, then you have a problem. Here I got this from Yahoo Answers.... "The little orange/yellow light that flashes next to the green one (green one means you are connected to internet) the yellow one means that you are accessing your HDD (hard disk drive) so that light will come up while you are listening to music, or playing a game. It is on almost all the time, since you are almost always getting data from the Ps3." and "i think it's like that HDD ACCESS INDICATOR cuz it always says to not turn the system off at that time and it always flashes"
  5. QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 02:26 AM) I wouldn't call it whining but in the end, his inability to swallow his pride and compromise on a gig did end his career. In 2010 sure, because he had major league offers, but I completely agree with him not accepting minor league deals.
  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) Random Observation: I've never seen ANY old footage of Jackie Robinson playing the field. I have no idea what position he played... I've only ever seen him running, hitting or stealing home... If I recall correctly, he played 2B, because they always talked about how players would come in high with their feet and spike him.
  7. Also, I don't see how wanted a major league offer is whining. If he would rather retire than settle for a bad contract, then I applaud him for not just trying to get that extra $500K to be minor league fodder.
  8. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 01:30 AM) Wasn't he offered 3 million to be a DH or something like that? I thought he was offered like 3M+ by the Cubs or something, but he said no.
  9. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 06:57 PM) Today, while walking my dog, I saw a girl scraping ice off her windshield with a tennis racket. John McEnsnow? Martina Navratisnova?
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 05:53 PM) Black. He was born in Alabama. He's named for Juan Marichal. I know he was born in Alabama, but he could still be hispanic. French was more of a joke. But anyway, I guess that makes Milledge black guy #3, if Oney is counting.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 05:39 PM) Fun http://twitter.com/Oneyguillen/status/33271017677783040 I know Edwin Jackson is black (although born in Germany), but is Juan Pierre black, hispanic, or french?
  12. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 05:38 PM) I'm thinking Lillibridge stays and DeAza would be gone since Lilli can play in the infield too. I was under the impression that the 25th spot was between Lillbridge and De Aza. And since Milledge is better than De Aza, I would assume it would be The Battle of the Millibridge in spring training.
  13. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) I thought I read somewhere that he was a below average defender. Is he reported to play plus defense? Yeah, Fangraphs seems to think he is an average LF and RF, but pretty bad in CF. Seems like it will be up to Rios, Pierre, and Lillibridge to man CF (or does Milledge making the team mean Lillibridge is gone?)
  14. Psh, I called this before everyone else when I signed Milledge on MLB The Show before my 2011 season. Hmph! The rest of my dealings were way off though, like signing Pena, and letting Konerko and AJ walk.

  16. Today we had classes cancelled from 6 am to 11 am! Cool Ball State! Nothing like give us 5 hours off, even though none of my classes started before 11 today!
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 11:34 PM) Lot of people stranded on LSD going north right now and have been there for hours. Ouch. People are stranded AND hopped up on LSD? Damn, it's worse out there than I thought.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 09:59 PM) It's s***ty here and it hasn't even snowed a ton. It's barely snowed here in Muncie, but we got about 4 inches of ice.
  19. The wind is so bad in Chicago right now that Wrigley's roof is being torn off. There is so much debris on the field that you would think the Cubs just made a call to the bullpen.
  20. This is setting up as Kenny's July 31st trade.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#...105925099485778 I was in that group when it was like 200 people, since it started here at Ball State, and now it's over 76K. lol, wow. Check out some of the pictures of the art that has been done here at BSU w/ the snow. It's phenomenal stuff.
  22. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 01:50 PM) Stop crying about it. They don't know how to handle the situation? You know what, I think they're handling it perfectly. They're doing what is best for the team this year with the intention of having him return to starting duties next season. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean they don't know how to handle it. Ok my bad. A decision I don't like means I am wrong, and a decision you agree with means they are right. K, gotcha. I look forward to Sale being in the rotation in 2012 and giving us 180+ innings of solid pitching.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 02:17 AM) I don't think you'll be as angry when Sale is closing out the the division clinching game in late September. I'll be rooting for Sale the whole year. It's not his fault the organization has no idea how to handle his situation.
  24. So far "Snowtorious BIG 2011" has only giving us ice storms here at Ball State. Like an inch of ice is covering campus, and yet I still doubt classes will be cancelled tomorrow! Fun!
