  1. Gartrell HBP. Bases juiced for Morel w/ 1 out.
  2. JorDanks doubles. Runners on 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, Morel on deck.
  3. Today Mitchell said he could be back by September. September call up? Not a chance, but I'd actually go and pay money to see Mitchell play.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 03:03 AM) I believe that's 150 games. Yeah.......what's your point?
  5. Hudson and Morel, but w/ Morel just getting to AAA, that's not going to happen. So I would say Huddy and Flowers.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 02:45 PM) I'll remember that next time that I couldn't care less Don't hate.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) When Kotsay is going bad, it's brutal to watch him hit. Like somebody said in the game thread, long at bats mean nothing unless you finish it with a hit. Somebody in the game thread said he definitely doesn't look hitterish right now. He had a miserable game. According to Hawk, the more pitches you see, the more dangerous you become. That's know UNdangerous Kotsay really is. It must take a 28 pitch at-bat bat before his dangerousness leads to a basehit.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:36 PM) Conan's impression of Ludicrious is uncanny His name is spelled, Ludacris.
  9. Morel begins his tear through AAA tomorrow.
  10. Omar put all he had into that ball. I can't believe Alexei swung at first pitch after the closer walked 2 guys....ugh.
  11. Cool beans Alexei.......cool beans..... And I wish this was a lefty up so we could see Nix here, and not Omar....s***.
  12. As I said in the other thread, I have it on "very good" authority that Morel is getting promoted to AAA tomorrow. Not sure who is being sent down, but my source believes it is Retherford.
  13. I have it on "very good" authority that Morel is making the move to AAA tomorrow. Retherford likely to be demoted.
  14. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 31, 2010 -> 10:16 PM) I lol'd when they mentioned the most recent Chicago championships, Sox in 05, Bulls in 97-98, Bears in 85-86, Blackhawks in 60-61 and Cubs, well.... Yeah that was funny, when they got to the Bulls I turned to my Dad (cubs fans) and said....."Uh-oh Dad, I can see where this is going..."
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 31, 2010 -> 10:32 PM) No your right. Can't remember the players name on the Flyers, but he absolutely OWNED him on a drag move that luckally Niemi stopped. Great win for the boys though. 2 more, but we need to at least win one (though 2 would be awesome) at their rink. We did our job winning at home, they are gonna try and do theirs. The good thing about Sopel is that he is a damn human wall out there. He is like a 2nd goalie the way he gets in front of shots. But offensively he makes me cringe. And yes, that drag move on Sopel was soooooo dirty. My brother and I both went "Ohh...holy s***" when he did that.
  16. Niicee! I wonder what my body fat % is, but I am too scared its like 50%! EDIT: I just did a "self body % check" online. Not very sure how accurate it is, but it said I am 23% body fat with 60 pounds of fat, and 199 pounds of lean. SoxFan, mind doing this 5-minute test for me to see how accurate this thing actually is? http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/h...t-2774-143.html EDIT2: I doubt that above test is right. I did 2 other ones on different sites, and they both show me at 34%, which I bet is more accurate for being 5'11, 260 lbs. I do, however, carry most of my weight in my stomach, which is did say can throw off the % a little higher. If I had to guess, I would say I am at about 30%.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2010 -> 06:00 PM) Free advice from J4L: DO NOT run 90 minutes in 90 degree heat. I literally almost passed out. Hah, thanks. I keep my running to strictly on the eliptical. Going to get my gym membership tomorrow I think. Not sure how often I will go each week though. I work 3 days a week (I'm a college kid, give me a break! hah), and play softball twice a week. I will probably only find myself going 3 times a week or so since I only like to work out at night towards the end of my day, since I take my showers at night. I don't feel like showering at night, working out in the afternoon, showering again, and then showering that night again. So I usually save my working out as my last thing of the day so I can sit around in my own stink for a few hours by myself, and then take a shower and go to bed.
  18. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 31, 2010 -> 11:41 PM) I want to see Morel too, but I'd rather not call him up and then send him back down once Teahen is back. Meh, I'm too selfish.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 31, 2010 -> 11:20 PM) You'll need to wait another year to watch us ruin him. Yeah I know. I am hoping he can tear up spring training next year and make things a little interesting.
  20. Lillibridge is the obviously encumbent right now, but I really wish this was Morel who was getting his cup of coffee in the majors right now.
  21. Morel. 2-5, 2B, 3 RBI. AVG up to .324. Just biding his time....
  22. Morel went 1-2. AVG at .322 now.
  23. I was just talking to someone about this. It's almost too obvious of a trade for Kenny to make.
  24. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:15 AM) What is a shame? The thing about Bradley is you know he has emotional issues but the thing is there are a lot of worse things that people do in baseball...steroids....he seems like he really wants to be a good guy but just can not get through his issues. I actually like the guy. That's a shame, too.
  25. Plan on getting my gym membership next week sometime. I have been doing alright w/o it, but obviously it will help. My weight (as I assume everyone elses) fluctuates a lot throughout the day. I was 255 when I woke up this morning, and about 158 just now before I go to sleep. I guess I could put my current weight at 258 then, which means I have lost 1 pound in the past 2 weeks. Woo! lol. My B-day is June 26th, so it would be nice if I was under 250 by then. That would put me at about 25 pounds in 3 months, which seems pretty decent to me, especially for the fact that I STILL have not changed my diet very much. Still eat junk food and cheeseburgers (less though). I think eliminating my "late night meals" have helped a lot though. I used to stay up until 2-3 AM (like I am now), and then get hungry and go eat some cereal or have a sandwich before bed. Now I just substitute that with a big glass of skim milk, and I think that's helping. Starting Weight (4/7/10) - 272 LB Current Weight (5/28/10) - 258 LB Total Loss: 14 lbs
