  1. I was just talking to someone about this. It's almost too obvious of a trade for Kenny to make.
  2. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:15 AM) What is a shame? The thing about Bradley is you know he has emotional issues but the thing is there are a lot of worse things that people do in baseball...steroids....he seems like he really wants to be a good guy but just can not get through his issues. I actually like the guy. That's a shame, too.
  3. Plan on getting my gym membership next week sometime. I have been doing alright w/o it, but obviously it will help. My weight (as I assume everyone elses) fluctuates a lot throughout the day. I was 255 when I woke up this morning, and about 158 just now before I go to sleep. I guess I could put my current weight at 258 then, which means I have lost 1 pound in the past 2 weeks. Woo! lol. My B-day is June 26th, so it would be nice if I was under 250 by then. That would put me at about 25 pounds in 3 months, which seems pretty decent to me, especially for the fact that I STILL have not changed my diet very much. Still eat junk food and cheeseburgers (less though). I think eliminating my "late night meals" have helped a lot though. I used to stay up until 2-3 AM (like I am now), and then get hungry and go eat some cereal or have a sandwich before bed. Now I just substitute that with a big glass of skim milk, and I think that's helping. Starting Weight (4/7/10) - 272 LB Current Weight (5/28/10) - 258 LB Total Loss: 14 lbs
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 28, 2010 -> 10:41 PM) I love when we beat good teams and look like a good team. Beckham! Cmon, keep breaking out of that slump. Nice job. Rios is a god. All of you who stuck by him last year deserve credit for loyalty and knowing what you are talking about. Freddy! All you can say and great job by the relievers. Can we win again and make it a good road trip? Thanks.
  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) Now 2-3, AVG up to .320 3-4. AVG up to .324. Can't wait until he gets that promotion to AAA.
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) Is this Hynick's first start of the year? And my boy Brent is 1-2. Batting AVG to to .315 Now 2-3, AVG up to .320
  7. Is this Hynick's first start of the year? And my boy Brent is 1-2. Batting AVG to to .315
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) I hope Thornton does not have memories of what happened a couple years ago. I think Pena was the culprit..... I guess it was Gabe Gross.... http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=280601130
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) AJ and Juan are usually right around the league leaders in lowest K%. This should be a shock to no one. It's a shock to me considering how bad AJ is hitting. I realize he doesn't K too much, but with how bad he has looked, I can't believe he is only at 9.
  10. I hope Thornton does not have memories of what happened a couple years ago. I think Pena was the culprit.....
  11. Is anyone as shocked as I am that AJ is "leading the league" in least amount of strikeouts this year? He has only 9 K's in 143 AB......Pierre is 3rd with only 13 K's in 191 AB.
  12. "The more pitches you see, the most dangerous the hitter becomes" - Hawk Harrelson BECKHAM!
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:30 PM) not me - that's a bunt situation if there ever was one Yep. That was the obvious bunting situation in the world.
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) I really like how the bunt was off though. I want to see more of that. I don't. Vizquel is hardly the offensive threat. He should at least make his automatic out productive.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:26 PM) Talk about rocking the boat. Ozzie gives Jenks the vote of confidence on Wednesday and the interim manager goes to Putz in the very next save opportunity. Cora actually enjoys winning.
  16. Looks like the ump was telling Carlos "RUN! RUN!"
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:10 PM) .248 for Konerko...it's crazy to think how much him and Jones have struggled since their great start They both have extremely identical numbers in May... Paulie - .215 AVG, .303 OBP, .670 OPS, 3 HR, 11 RBI, 10 BB, 18 K Jones - .217 AVG, .304 OBP, .739 OPS, 3 HR, 11 RBI, 10 BB, 14 K
  18. Freddy still at 89 pitches. He could start the next inning too, and have Santos ready in case anyone reaches.
  19. Only the 5th time this year Carlos has been hit. He really needs to catch up to Jose Guillen who is running away w/ 8 right now. A beaten and battered Carlos = Carlos "MONGO" Quentin. For those fools who don't get the Mongo reference from Blazing Saddles.....
  20. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 28, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) I think he was a converted position player and they did not expect that much out of him. He made his name in their minor league bullpen and they might think his arm has a limited number of innings in it....... Also I do not study the cubs numbers but it seemed like a week ago the entire team except for Lee and Ramirez were well over .300 like a bunch of guys in the .330 range and now while there are still a couple in the .300 range there are bunch that are now back down to earth. Well, he did convert from catcher to pitcher when he was 20 years old, but that was back in 2003, but he only had 20 games as a catcher.
  21. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 28, 2010 -> 03:03 PM) Wasn't Wells slated for the pen anyway? He was as good as anyone in that rotation and young. He could not have been too excited about the move. It's weird how badly they view Wells, but he was their best starter last year, and was doing well this year, yet it seems he is always the odd man out.
  22. Nahh. I can't stand his whirlybird swings and misses.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 24, 2010 -> 08:41 AM) The only thing worse is the dumbasses trying to get the wave going at the Sox game yesterday. Really? The 70's called, they want their schtick back. Sox game I was at last year, we had an epic wave going. It went 3-4 times around the stadium, with lower bowl and upper decks involved and synchronized. It was great.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2010 -> 06:19 PM) Is Ted Lilly not even standing on the mound? It's funny because I actually noticed this right before Blake went off. Due to the Buehrle fiasco, I was watching Lilly's feet to see if he was bringing his leg over and balking, when I noticed his foot was a good 3-4 inches off the rubber. I was saying "Wait a second, he can't do that, that's cheating". And then a minute later Blake started to yell about it.
