  1. Wouldn't be surprised if the Yankees-Tigers end up playing two on June 4th also. Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati...not a good weekend for baseball.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 09:16 AM) I wonder even if they were able to play in the football stadium if MLB and the MLBPA would have allowed it. Like a lot of amateur fields now, there is no dirt anywhere. It is all turf, even the mound. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the venue was available. Yeah, I highly doubt anyone involved (Twins, MLB) would even entertain that idea on the spot. They would have to prepare the field and get approval from the league. Like the games in Williamsport or the field they built on the military base. Those fields had to be prepared to be Major League ready.
  3. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20180414 Charlotte on NBCSC at 6pm Clarkin starting for B'ham.
  4. Nice to see those zeros for Parke. And Winston-Salem bats...when Robert gets there, holy schnikes.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 04:27 PM) Stone mentioned Thursday as a possible make up date Interesting. Twins would be coming back from Puerto Rico to play one or two games, then have to fly down to Tampa. High of 45 and no rain.
  6. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 04:11 PM) It's also possible that one of the games doesn't get made up as that has happened before. MLB schedules 2,430 games until they can’t.
  7. By the way, the Sox may be playing 55 games in 55 days - May 15 to July 8. 6th starter anyone?
  8. I would guess they’ll play two on June 4th, and if Sunday gets called, another two on the June 6th or 7th. If they have weather problems in that series, then the Twins may be forced to play home games at Sox Park. It gets tricky for Twins since they’re good...they probably don’t want to play a doubleheader the final weekend of the season no matter what.
  9. Even if there was a dry period tonight, it’s very windy with wind chills in the low 20s. Gusts are supposedly 40+.
  10. I’m throwing out April for everyone. Let’s look at his May-AS break numbers, and more importantly, at the end of the season. First full season. Stuff happens.
  11. Maybe Omar Vizquel is bringing something to the table down there.
  12. QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 09:46 PM) So what exactly does Moncada do well again besides hit the ball hard? Hair
  13. Pleasantly surprised they let him go back out there. Big leagues.
  14. Lock him up! Lock him up!
  15. Yes, first full season for Giolito. Out of 32, he’ll have 8 starts that are terrible.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 08:18 PM) Fun fact, the White Sox are 15th in the majors in batting and 3rd in OPS. Overall, the whole MLB season has been pretty terrible. May can’t come soon enough.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 04:33 PM) Because the Twins are never going to punt 3 or 4 home games. Why would they? I'm going tonight (I live in Mpls). I have tickets to all 4 games. See basically no chance Friday and Saturday gets played. Sunday should be clear of rain and snow by 10am-noonish, but it will be 30 degrees and will have precipitated for the better part of the previous 48 hours. So there is a chance for Sunday, but probably worse than a coin flip. Agree that Milwaukee isn’t a good option now. This isn’t like when teams have to move for hurricanes. They have a common off date on June 4th to play two, and they should just play two on the 6th or 7th also. Them sticking around until Sunday to play in brutal conditions doesn’t make much sense. Play tonight, and come home is the common sense move.
  18. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 01:41 PM) Oh s***, I didn't. Just woke up about 30 mins ago and went off the new MLB Farm site. That's kind of funny that they lose their Opening Day starter the day of the game. Lol Got it. Hope Charlotte stays on schedule with Kopech so I can see his game on tv Saturday night.
  19. As a great man once said...did you not get the memo!
  20. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 01:09 PM) I'll never forget the time flavum said that for about a week straight last year only for it not to snow or rain that weekend. It didn’t rain, but they still could have postponed for cold vs a division team that’s coming back. Playing under 40 degrees when the team is coming back is dumb.
