  1. If you're interested to see when they get off the ground, they're scheduled to get out at 1:40. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL2503 Edit: pushed back to 2:13 Edit: now 1:25, they may actually get out of there!
  2. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 07:52 PM) I give the Twins credit they were not going to force fans and players to attempt to work through this weather. Kudos to them, unlike some other teams. Even Maddon of the Cubs in his postgame today came out and categorically said they should have never played the game at Wrigley Saturday. Two biggest differences- it was good enough to get the game in, and it was against a team not coming back to town. The Sox are going back to Minnesota twice and it is a blizzard. I have no doubt if Chicago weather was good tomorrow they would have played two tomorrow. As far as beefs with the Twins, they should have called off all three games Thursday night and let the Sox fly home or out to Phoenix to workout at Camelback a couple days before going to Oakland.
  3. One other thing they could possibly do to avoid two doubleheaders is move the 9/27 Tigers-Twins game to 9/24, and play the Sox on the 27th.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 06:56 PM) Kopech's changeup is not good Was just about to say it would have been cool to see the last batter see a 2-2 change up. He got the out, but he’s not a finished product.
  5. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 06:09 PM) Why would they ever do 3 double headers in one series? They will spread them out Open date June 4th. 6/4 (2) 6/5 6/6 (2) 6/7
  6. QUOTE (Richie @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 05:00 PM) This series is OVA... Sunday- PPD No makeup date. Probably could exclude Thursday now. Nothing like a 6-game series in June. Should be fun.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 02:35 PM) Not a good day for our friend Quintana No takseys backseys
  8. Yankees-Tigers ppd. Split doubleheader Sunday.
  9. Wouldn't be surprised if the Yankees-Tigers end up playing two on June 4th also. Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati...not a good weekend for baseball.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 09:16 AM) I wonder even if they were able to play in the football stadium if MLB and the MLBPA would have allowed it. Like a lot of amateur fields now, there is no dirt anywhere. It is all turf, even the mound. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the venue was available. Yeah, I highly doubt anyone involved (Twins, MLB) would even entertain that idea on the spot. They would have to prepare the field and get approval from the league. Like the games in Williamsport or the field they built on the military base. Those fields had to be prepared to be Major League ready.

  12. Saturday- PPD No makeup dates yet.
  13. Nice to see those zeros for Parke. And Winston-Salem bats...when Robert gets there, holy schnikes.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 04:27 PM) Stone mentioned Thursday as a possible make up date Interesting. Twins would be coming back from Puerto Rico to play one or two games, then have to fly down to Tampa. High of 45 and no rain.
  15. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 04:11 PM) It's also possible that one of the games doesn't get made up as that has happened before. MLB schedules 2,430 games until they can’t.
  16. By the way, the Sox may be playing 55 games in 55 days - May 15 to July 8. 6th starter anyone?
  17. I would guess they’ll play two on June 4th, and if Sunday gets called, another two on the June 6th or 7th. If they have weather problems in that series, then the Twins may be forced to play home games at Sox Park. It gets tricky for Twins since they’re good...they probably don’t want to play a doubleheader the final weekend of the season no matter what.
  18. Even if there was a dry period tonight, it’s very windy with wind chills in the low 20s. Gusts are supposedly 40+.

I’m throwing out April for everyone. Let’s look at his May-AS break numbers, and more importantly, at the end of the season. First full season. Stuff happens.
  20. Maybe Omar Vizquel is bringing something to the table down there.
  21. QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 09:46 PM) So what exactly does Moncada do well again besides hit the ball hard? Hair
  22. That was an error
  23. Pleasantly surprised they let him go back out there. Big leagues.
  24. 6 innings, 2 runs...shame!!!!
