Ozzie showed leadership skills from day 1 at 21 years old annd he wasn’t exactly killing it with the bat. Either you have that trait or you don’t. Apparently Vaughn has some of that. Hopefully the performance rises in the next couple years where both numbers and ability to lead are there.

The franchise record for players used in a season is 51 (2017 and 2018). Sox are at 50 and will probably blow by 51 soon.

I don’t think he’s completely old school or anything close to that. He would be a very common sense manager that would enforce rules. He’s loosened his stance on some of the hard ass baseball stuff over the years. He’s very likable too. I don’t know how anyone can’t stand him.

Did a good job by all accounts in the WBC. Wants to be a manager, unlike a Robin Ventura type. Played recently enough to have respect. Will probably kick your ass himself if you get out of line. Great personality and good with the media obviously. Bring a guy in that is a true fresh start. Hire Dero!
