I think there are 3 reasons why this spring training isn't that interesting... 1) It's way too long. I can't sustain interest in fake baseball for 5+ weeks. 2) There aren't any new exciting additions. Keppinger may turn out to be a great player for the Sox, but he's not a reason to watch. 3) We pretty much know the 25-man roster right now. There's very little chance a young player can break with the team.

Did anyone hear Nick Capra on White Sox Weekly over the weekend? He mentioned a pitcher that would have been in the rotation at Winston-Salem, and he retired on Saturday. I wasn't paying attention, so I missed the name. I went back to listen on the podcast, and it sounds like they purposely edited out that part of the interview.

I wasn't clear. I'm not complaining that he did a call-in. That's fine. But his comments on there that Peavy should start Opening Day. I think Sale should want the ball Opening Day, and I would hope Robin just gets over with and let's him know he's opening the season against Shields.
