  1. No Verlander this weekend. No King Felix when we face the M's. Good time to peel off some wins and get off to a great 2012.
  2. Video of the AJ homer. 42 second mark...bad word? http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_...8374897313-1024
  3. http://twitpic.com/98l11b And then he went to the dugout and I'm pretty sure he referred to the fan in a way that a couple NBA players got fined for last year.
  4. No excuses for Danks today. This has to be a win today.
  5. They'll have to play a doubleheader in early May since they finish the season in Cleveland. They aren't going to do it then.
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) I'm saying as far as winning the series, which should be the goal of every series. Yes, winning series should be the goal...in October! I hate the term "winning series" in the regular season, because consciously or subconsciously, when they win the first two games of a series, there could be a weak lineup the next day or the players may go out the night before a little longer because they already have the series won. A baseball season is 162 separate opportunities to win one game. Yes, when a series over you may say, "well, at least we got 2 out of 3", or "at least we got one game in Texas". But I hate when players and coaches talk about "winning series" during the regular season. It's an easy way to let down.
  7. If you believe the White Sox have a shot at the postseason, then the Tigers beating the Red Sox and Rays is a good thing. Hopefully the Sox can find a way to beat the Tigers 7 or 8 games this season.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) Let's see more out of Humber...to me, he's a greater concern than Sale, who I think ends up being our best SP... He is already. I'm optimistic about Humber. I think he'll be one of the better 5th starters in the AL. 190 innings. 17-19 quality starts. I could see that.
  9. Cordero will end up closing before long.
  10. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) I seriously love Paul Konerko. if he ever plays for another team, it'll be a damn shame. It would be great if he hit 500 homers in a Sox uniform, at which point I would campaign for him personally to go to the Hall of Fame. The question is, will he play that long? Probably not.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) That kid is way too old to be sitting on his dad's lap. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. How about the chick over the third base dugout with the forehead...or something.
  12. Looks like the rain is moving out of Arlington. Should be ok.
  13. Jhan Marinez 5 outs, 5 K's Golson 3 doubles
  14. Nice to see the Mitchell triple was off Danny Hultzen, a fine lefty prospect. Wilkins 3-run homer...I tell you what, Stone Pony.
  15. Tigers with a 4-spot in the 1st inning. Good lord.
  16. Mayo jar gets Buehrle... http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-b...-to-your-health
  17. Not going to lie...I wish we got the first crack at Darvish. That said, go Sox. This would be a nice win on the road against a good team.
  18. 4 AL teams 0-2: Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, and Indians. I'll take it.
  19. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) Yeah but when? When he warming up tonight? Probably 10-14 days ago.
  20. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) OK, then was Robin trying to protect Santiago from the media? Guess I am trying to figure out why Robin or Cooper (or anybody) didn't reveal it (if they knew). Just to make it more dramatic? Ventura not into drama from what I see. I think your first thought is correct. Media asking him questions leading up to opening day.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 10:25 PM) Definitely not. Beckham would have missed it by at least a foot. That play by Alexei was tremendous. Agreed. Beckham would have "olayed" that thing.
