  1. QUOTE(babybearhater @ Jan 11, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) this wristband thing is getting out of control, even stupid michigan fans have them now. Played out State has them too.
  2. QUOTE(farmteam @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) I saw that, and am intrigued. I also liked the mentioning of Surtain, Thomas, and Madison. VERY interesting. Thomas wasn't mentioned.
  3. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) That's right b****! Eat it! Sparty on!!!
  4. Seattle, San Diego, Indianapolis, Minnesota.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) Thanks Dan, people assume too quickly that Reed isn't going to amount to more than Kotsay. These are the same people who have probably never seen him up close and watched this guy's fabulous, advanced approach to hitting and the way the ball just absolutely flies off of his bat. Here is the thing in my mind...what makes him a sure bet to be better than Kotsay? I say let him prove KW wrong on the field. And I love Freddy on this team.
  6. Um, see, um...cool, but I really don't understand.
  7. Let's see...isn't that all there is to talk about? I go by both sites, but I enjoy this one better. That's all there is to it.
  8. QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) Today's Washington Post has the Sox as one of the finalist to get Vasquez from AZ. If the Sox can acquire him as well as a middle infielder we are going to be one of the best teams in the American League Not if we lose Kong and Garland. IMHO.
  9. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Ohh come on like no one else has this problem. All i'm saying is if your going to make more then one f***ing size then you should make different varieties. It's boring only having to have one style to choose from... Ohh well... Huh? What are you talking about? Do you want different shapes? There are a ton of different styles...ribbed, heated, twisted, ultraribbed, etc. I just grab a condom, I am usual more interested in something else besides what the condom looks like. I think you'd like the flavored ones....I imagine you'd have a great taste in your mouth after sex.
  10. I was actually looking for the article to see what they said. I had heard about this. I don't see Trojan on there though. I either go with Trojan "Shared Sensations" or the pull-n-pray method.
  11. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) and she hasn't done much since then. the first time i've seen her on tv since that and she gets booed....i'd say we're right. She looked terrible too. Seemed to be a little heavier IMHO. She sounded terrible, sounded like she had the voice help again. Please be the end of her. Kelly Clarkson was okay (I actually like that song) and Trace Adkins is always good (much love for country), but couldn't they have just thrown Toby Keith up there instead of Ashlee? It's not like he already wasn't there.
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) I hope its not true and if it is I'm rather pissed that the Sox would of given him a contract knowing that. I'd of pulled a Paxson and pretty much demanded my players to come into camp in shape. I think there is no excuse for anything but coming into camp ready to play and in as good of shape as you can be in. *cough*Carl and Juan*cough*
  13. SuperSteve

    It's a girl!

    Congrats. Great to hear everyone is doing well too.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Gotta teach him how to bunt first Very good point.
  15. Davis will be in the bigs for sure, as he makes $1 million. Seems people want to carry 12 pitchers and 14 field players. Cannot happen.
  16. QUOTE(gosox41 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Isringhausen. I thought there was someone else, but guess I was wrong. Bob IIRC, he started as a starter in New York (NL). I imagine it was someone else who brought Isringhausen to Oakland and got him on track. That is what I would think. Otherwise I think he goes for bigger names...Dotel, Foulke, Koch.
  17. QUOTE(KittleWalk83 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) What are you talking about? The 2003 wasn't a free agent signing after free agent signing. They did get Pudge but otherwise, they had mostly home grown players. And I should have been more clear and said the Marlins 2003 WS. But, what he is saying is the Marlins got all their homegrown players from trading their best players. The first WS team had Sheffeld, Leiter, Hernandez, Renteria, and a ton of solid players. I think the 2003 WS team is a product of being terrible the seasons before. Beckett and Co were top draft picks, so they finished with amongst the worst records in the MLB for a few seasons. BTW; IRod, Uribina, Conine, Pierre, Pavano, and Encarnacion are not homegrown, and all were key contributors to that team.
