  1. Who is to blame for Quentin not DH'ing? Is it Ozzie or pressure from Kenny? Jones or Kotsay need to platoon in RF and Carlos MUST be a DH if this team wants to win the division.
  2. Buehrle still favored -133.... if I still wagered I'd be with the O's today.
  3. QUOTE (IamPabloOzuna @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 08:35 PM) oh get over yourself. AJ has been one of the most important players on this team since he arrived. Sure he's not very conventional but he gets results and he's pretty damn steady. You'll be eating your words when he's gone and the stability at the position goes with him. Who is your favorite pro-wrestler?
  4. Hopefully that is the last time I have to watch AJ showing his frustration in a White Sox uniform.
  5. Can't lose to Baltimore... tough one. As much as Juan Pierre has impressed me with his defense this season, a .642 OPS from an American League corner outfielder is borderline mind boggling.
  6. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 04:24 PM) I really did not feel like researching his contract situation cause I thought my post was blatantly obvious either way unless he was being paid Vernon Wells money, he would not clear. Thanks for dumbing it down for the kid wite. It is not blatantly obvious... I am still not certain that he hasn't already passed through waivers. Young was demoted to AAA late last season and has 28 million due to him. I know his contract status I didn't need it pointed out to me, I just found your quote "Not a chance he clears. Not sure what his contract is" fairly humorous. Do I think the White Sox will give up the talent the Diamondbacks would require in exchanged for a much improved Young? No. I was just trying to find an outfielder that doesn't suck at catching the ball, the only player's that seem to be available are designated hitters, and we already have one (Quentin).
  7. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Not a chance he clears. Not sure what his contract is, but unless he is really overpaid, someone will claim him. Too much talent. You say not a chance he clears but you don't know what his contract is? Very impressive post.... My guess is that he would clear, or already has (I'd call it close to 50/50), but he isn't a whole lot different than Andruw Jones (good defender with streaky power). GMs are really catching on, the only players that were or are available really couldn't play anywhere...
  8. QUOTE (GREEDY @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 10:36 PM) Hitter. Outside of Vernon Wells he appears to be the only plus defensive outfielder that might have a chance at clearing waivers.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) The pitcher or the hitter? Hitter.
  10. Anyone think Chris Young would clear?
  11. Hawpe is a bad defender. ManRam is a bad defender. I really want someone that can play RF so TCQ can DH.
  12. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 01:33 PM) Watching it never gets old. Actually, it just turned 27.
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 25, 2010 -> 07:20 PM) For that package, why shouldnt he be? Actually, I heard Rafael Rodriguez is hung like a horse.
  14. Don't sit next to anyone in a Griffey jersey.
  15. Juan gobbles up fly balls like he is on the bravo network.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 12:11 AM) It's going to be interesting to see how long they wait for Kotsay to spring back to life. He is in real danger of being DFA'd when Teahen comes back. If a trade brings back a bat or a RH reliever he is out.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 22, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) The Andruw now is probably a little bit better than J.D. back in 05. Epic fail.
  18. As someone who watches virtually every pitch of every White Sox game, Bobby has looked very inconsistent and at times bad for the best part of two seasons; and should be replaced. As someone who plays fantasy baseball for keeps and follows the entire mlb closely, the idea that a proven veteran closer that only has two blown saves could be replaced, is flat out retarded.
  19. 6 pages for the ghost of Jeremy Reed, and 9 posts for what is either a horrible managerial move or the front office telling Ozzie that TCQ needs to play in the field. Even if this is a slam dunk people should be upset with either Ozzie or KW.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Quentin's just a little bit faster, but he looks clueless on balls out there at times. I will admit but TCQ's "awkwardness" has to lead to him "looking" like a worse defender than he really is BUT Jones and Kotsay are clearly the better defenders so they need to be out there and Carlos needs to DH.
  21. This deserves it's own thread. If Kotsay or Jones are in the lineup they need to be in RF ahead of Quentin. It is just that simple. Please Ozzie.
  22. I couldn't tell you what happened, the game is on WCIU.
  23. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 06:21 PM) So I'm still wondering what it would take to get DeJesus. Mark Kotsay is a better defensive outfielder than DeJesus and offensively both players are fairly similar. Kotsay can also serve as your backup first basemen. Obv David is off the a much better start this season, but considering Mark is free and DeJesus would cost prospects, I just assume let KC keep him.
  24. To the guys that are posting/discussing the SBdotCom lines are you actually members there? If so, what is the max play allowed on this line? Often times these "non traditional prop bets" have a small $100 or $200 max bet and a book will put up wacky lines to entice people to sign up with the site just so they can bet this line.
