Why waste the money on a big name? I hope KW only signs players that can field their position better than average, and then let Ozzie play the matchups day2day at DH.

The White Sox have inexpensive options at 2B, SS and 3B for the forseable future. If Kenny liked Getz enough to give him the job in '09, he definitely has to have liked his performance enough to give him another crack in 2010. I am not thrilled with being handcuffed in the infield this offseason, and I personally do not think Getz is a long term option for an AL club; but I would bet the house that the White Sox do not make a move for ANY infielder before next season.

Abreu is a bad RF. His bat is NOT good enough at a corner outfield position to outweight his horrible defense, that can only be getting worse. As far as Abreu being our DH, great.... but I can't imagine we have 10 million+ (more likely 2 for 20), for a DH. When Thome/Giambi/Johnson etc can be had for a fraction of that money. If Kenny brings in Bobby to play RF I will severely dissapointed; every chance he gets to speak to the media he stresses the importance of defense, and the way the game is changing. To bring in yet another butcher would be a mistake.

You guys realise that Jermaine Dye is a bad defensive right fielder, right? You guys realise that there are only a handful of worse right fielders, right? You guys realise that Bobby Abreu is in that handful, right? Ok, good.

The Sox are an all or nothing offense... and right now the dial is stuck on nothing. That is all.

Dear Kenny, Please buy or sell. Standing pat would be a mistake. I understand selling for the sake of selling is generally a bad idea, unless there is value coming in return; but I honestly do not care if the young players coming back ever crack the bigs. This team is very flawed defensively; and the only fix is either more cowbell or by creating a few holes that can eventually be filled with someone that can catch the ball. Love, Greedy

Wang is good as long as he keeps it down, it is when he is high and straight that he gets in trouble. Personally, I wouldn't trade Wang with anyone.
