Be Prepared to Really Hate Dane Cook
The Bones replied to greasywheels121's topic in The Diamond Club
"Be Prepared to Really Hate Dane Cook" I already do really hate dane cook. -
Suddenly, I'm reminded of the great Bill Hicks bit where he's reading a book in a waffle house and the waitress comes up to him and asks... "What you reading for?" hilarity ensues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcPQhS8W8g4

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) I saw Dante Bichette hit for the cycle in person. So there. I saw Chris Singleton hit for the cycle in person...beat that.

Knocked Up is indeed hilarious! Anyone who likes it should check out the short-lived tv shows Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared. Both are hilarious and many of the actors from this movie were in them as well. A deleted scene from Knocked Up that is just plain ridiculously funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=154KVUTpe7A

QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) Where can I look up dvd release dates for movies? The best I can find is the following week's release dates. www.videoeta.com

I believe that I won this by the way. I could be wrong though. Anyone do the math?

yeah, i picked up in the aeroplane over the sea not too long ago after hearing so much about it and i love it. thinking about getting on avery island sometime soon. got cassadaga from bright eyes and the new modest mouse also. the new modest mouse is nothing too special, first couple songs are alright but the rest was just kind of blah. i'm digging the new bright eyes though. more of a folk/country feel to it than in the past and i like it.

QUOTE(The Bones @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 02:46 AM) Florida Pittsburgh Georgetown Ohio State Ohio State over Florida in a rematch of the BCS Championship The West Region is probably gonna be my downfall. I just couldn't take Kansas or UCLA and that left me with Pitt who I don't really have much faith in either. I knew it. Why'd UCLA have to lose to Washington and Cal to close out the season. I would have picked them dammit.

The 2007 Big Ten Tourney
The Bones replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
what a game. i just got back from the long drive from the uc. i don't care how ugly it was, if illinois isn't in the tournament then something is wrong. they just out hussled indiana tonight and played like a team that needed to win to assure that tourney spot. it may seem impossible but tomorrow's game against wisconsin may turn out just as ugly being that it is illinois' third game in three days and from what i saw from wisconsin in the second half they weren't exactly lighting things up. -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 08:38 AM) If Wisconson can win the BTT, I think there will be two #1s out of the Big Ten. The committee already has the brackets ready before Sunday's championship games are played so they will have no effect on seedings. The only case where it matters if someone gets in who isn't otherwise in the tournament and they bump someone out and simply put the other team in their place. At least this has been the case in years past.

The 2007 Big Ten Tourney
The Bones replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Whew...anyways, i'll be at the game tomorrow night to hopefully cheer the Illini into the tournament. I think that they'll still be in if they lose tomorrow unless some teams like Nevada, Xavier, etc. don't win their conference tourneys. Or if some teams like West Virginia, Michigan can continue to advance in their conference tourneys. Illinois played Indiana tough both times this year winning at home, and almost pulling it off in Bloomington, and I expect this one to go down to the wire as well. -
The 2007 Big Ten Tourney
The Bones replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Well, Penn St. pulled out to an early 13-2 lead but Illinois is now up 41-25 and looks well on their way to playing Indiana for the third time this year. The question now is does Illinois have to beat IU or at least keep it close or will this be enough to get them in? -
QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Feb 17, 2007 -> 11:11 AM) Hey, another Elliott fan! Just saw this the other day. Very exciting. Although I have downloaded most of the songs off the www.elliottsmithbsides.com, most of them aren't of the best quality. A studio release ought to fix that. Of course, some Elliott fans may argue that lo-fi is the way to listen to him. Doesn't really matter to me, as I'm a huge fan of his entire catalog. Got a favorite Elliott album? I think they're all great but I've got to say Either/Or is at the top of my list. Elliott Smith, XO, Figure 8, and From A Basement On The Hill are all good in their own different ways. And I would put Roman Candle just a notch below all of them. And I just came across elliottsmithbsides.com recently and I gotta say a lot of his unreleased material is just as good as, if not better than, some of the stuff on his albums. I love Stickman, Abused, High Times, Brand New Game. And for some reason I can't stop listening to the instrumental track See You In Heaven. I guess you could say that I'm a little obsessed.

New Elliott Smith Release New Moon (24 songs from his time with KRS) Any Elliott Smith fans out there? I just got into him a couple years ago after he had already died. I have all 6 of his studio albums which are amazing. Even though some of the songs on New Moon can be found online, this is about the biggest thing I've had to look forward to from him...ever.

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 06:11 PM) Wow, that list is HORRIBLE. Exactly what I was thinking. With so many acts you would think there might be at least one or two worth seeing but no.

I believe I was in League #1 last year and wouldn't mind doing it again this year. I'm gonna limit myself to only one or two teams this year so hopefully I can keep track better and be more competetive. I'm pretty sure my team in this league sucked last year.
