Sent in my list just now.

Tombstone It's just been that way since I was a kid and will most likely always be that way.

I'll come up with a list for you. It'll probably be loaded with a bunch of recent movies though, and Dr. Strangelove of course, but that's just cause I'm a young whippersnapper compared to all the old folk.

Good stuff to come home from work to! 5 in a row!

Gavin "Pretty Boy" Floyd vs. D-Train, Going for three!

Much more fun to be the team scoring runs late in the ball game and shutting the other team down with our bullpen than the other way around like it was all of last year. I really like what I see from these guys so far. -
I come here because it's about EVERYTHING white sox baseball. Not only can I read intelligent opinions on today's game and players but it's the only place I can also read real sox fans opinions on topics that range from the new paul konerko commercial to the beer sold at old comiskey before I was even born. That's what I love about this place.

Agreed. I liked what I saw out of Swish and Cabrera today and until I see something more than what I saw from Owens last year he should not be batting leadoff. In fact, I would like to see Anderson out in CF batting 8th or 9th simply because his defense is far superior. But I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ozzie disagreed with me.

White Sox @ Indians - Opening Day Game Thread

So...I just watched the game on dvr without knowing the result beforehand and wow that was a nice screwjob by the umps! I'm sure that's already been covered somewhere in these 87 pages though so I'll try to stick some of my other thoughts. I almost just turned it off after the 2nd inning Buehrle implosion but didn't and was glad that I saw a different team than last year's. Who would have guessed if Buehrle got taken out in the 2nd after giving up 7 runs that we would have had a chance (and should have) won this game. Definitely a different mindset with this team and I look forward to watching them fight for some wins this year. Cabrera and Swisher will be fun to watch. Masset and Logan looked impressive. Ramirez needs to shorten his swing but looks very promising. Umps need to be reprimanded for being in bad position two times and especially for that interference call at second. -
Also, I'm glad BigEdWalsh mentioned Bang the Drum Slowly. That's a good one that a lot of people often forget about.

Field of Dreams and Eight Men Out In fact I'm thinking about picking up this new 20th anniversary edition of Eight Men Out even though I already have the old version on dvd because the new one looks like it has a few interesting extras. http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/eight-men-out.html

There are no dominant leagues this year. I don't know why the Big Ten is considered so down when no other league has done anything worth noting in the tournament. Yes...the Big Ten had a lot of crap teams but so did a lot of other leagues. Only the Big 12 has more than one team in the Elite 8. Other than that the ACC has 1, Atlantic 10 - 1, Big East - 1, C-USA - 1, Pac-10 - 1, Southern - 1. ACC other than UNC is crap. SEC is truly craptastic. Big East has a lot of good teams but the bottom of that 16 team conference is horrid and even the top proved not so great (UConn, Georgetown). My point is that yes the Big 10 is bad but not any/much worse than these other conferences that people don't constantly bash every year. Also, its difficult to rate conferences because a conference can be top heavy but horrible at the bottom or simply good/mediocre throughout and you have to decide which is better. The focus has to be on the individual teams and only 5 or 6 (UNC, Memphis, UCLA, Kansas, Texas, Louisville) this year can really be considered great.

Instant fame?! Does anyone actually remember the names of any of these idiots that do this stuff? And do people not know the difference between being famous and infamous anymore? Seriously...our culture has become all about me, me, me. People will do anything to try to get noticed even for all the wrong reasons.

He can get paid all he wants next year. I'm just glad Indiana is about to pay for hiring a known cheater and getting a season of mediocrity from this team with "Final Four talent".

Eric Gordon 4 Most Outstanding Player! 8 PTS, 3/15 FG, 2/6 FT, 1 AST, 3 REB

I doubt there will be another game as good as that one this tournament. Today's already better than yesterday was after just 4 games even though my bracket's looking worse.
-
Let's go Patriots. My first upset pick of the tournament.
-
One more shot at glory Belmont. Let's do this.
-
damn a bucket there would have been nice. D up Belmont.
-
I had the Bruins beating Duke in my brackets but it was the UCLA Bruins not the ones from Belmont. Go Belmont!

Congrats to Wisconsin. Not much you can do when you can't make shots as Illinois has shown all year. Looking forward to next year and hell maybe these last 3 wins can get us in the CBI and we can be the first ever CBI champions...haha. Good luck to Wisconsin, Purdue, Michigan State, and Ohio State (if they make it) in the tournament. Represent the Big Ten well.
