  1. Just get a hotel downtown. There are multiple establishments on/near the Water St. area that provide shuttle service to/from the game.
  2. The Dodgers also share 48% of their fanny’s in the seats revenue with everyone else.
  3. The Dodgers already share 48% of that annual $330M with all the other teams. How much more do you want them to share? Sure, they own a portion of Spectrum SportsNet LA and they don’t have to share any profits that company makes after that $330M outlay, but who knows what that is (feel free to scour the K’s of Charter Communications if you’re that bothered). BTW - The Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, ect. get to shield their network profits too and we don’t know how bad those clubs cook the books by having the team receive below market revenue and shield broadcaster profits from being shared. You should be thankful that we know the Dodgers got paid upfront and need to share that money. When that contract expires is when you will really be salty.
  4. The Dodgers turned Lux into Mike Sirota and the 41st pick in last summer’s draft. One year later the Reds turn Lux into Brock freaking Burke. Think the Reds want a redo on that original trade? They do it without spending money too.
  5. What are you crying about now? You want a round of applause for Getzie because the Sox got the #1 pick? Great, don’t f*** it up again and take another Smith instead of the best talent. He made an excellent hire in Rodriguez. Nothing wrong with today’s signing as it’s a great dart to throw, but I won’t hold my breath that his K’s don’t make his HR totals irrelevant. Anyone who doesn’t think that we should move Christmas to August 30th lives rent free in your head.
  6. BR should be fine, but Jacobs is way better than AT. AT played nobody and Jacobs losses are to really good teams for their classification. Fenwick/Naz better not sleep on Burlington in the quarters/semis too.
  7. Boy Wonder needed Hagen over him and several others…..
  8. Absolutely not calling him a bust, BUT he does need to be “broken” (like a wild horse). Caleb has relied on pure athleticism to this point and that will not work in the NFL. Riley is a great offensive mind and didn’t get him on script. Ben is a great offensive mind and he’s still not on script. He has all the physical talent to be great. The question is whether someone can harness it.
  9. Actually, Caleb only looks good on the 1st 15 plays that BJ scripts and the couple of hero plays he sometimes makes. Otherwise (after those plays were practiced ad nauseam during the week), Caleb relies on jailbreak. He honestly looks worse than last year.
  10. That's not considered revenue for baseball operations. See the Braves Q/K. Leagues where this is a cap and split revenues with the players don't count that as income. NFL, for example, is split roughly 52/48 owners/players. That revenue split does not count concessions/parking/local broadcasting rights and a large portion of ticket sales. It's mostly the national contracts (which is THE revenue source for NFL).
  11. He’s not cash liquid. My problem is he was massively cash positive prior to COVID. Did he take those profits to buyout original investors? Does he build in a $xM (20M+) salary for himself? GFY (not you, Jerry), if he used profits to increase equity.
  12. That’s fair. I agree this thread mostly ignored the parameters. There’s no single player I would spend $160M this offseason (or would reasonably sign with us for that amount).
  13. I'm not crying. The tissues are for you not accepting the guy running the show is neck deep why we suck. Sure, Jerry is most at fault, but to hitch hopes to a guy that has failed miserably at his job seems silly. And you really, REALLY need to squint to see the horizon 4 years down the road.
  14. Say hi Alex Call. Still hanging around after not being developed properly.
