  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 01:44 AM) Going to 15 games at least, as usual. What's your excuse, soxtalk? Parenthood and the Blackhawks
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 11:15 AM) There are a lot of people who think that Boston may be the best team in the league. I'd have trouble with that thought, but I think it's a talented team either way. Their starting rotation is just so blah. If they all reach their ceilings, it would be great, but it's highly unlikely that happens.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 10:31 AM) Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 15s16 seconds ago #WhiteSox broadcaster Ken Harrelson not interested in cutting back 2015 schedule. "That's out the window," Hawk says. http://bit.ly/12VEulx NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 09:27 AM) Buffalo needs to figure out the QB spot soon. They are going waste a great defense if not. Cause they aren't going anywhere without a QB. Wasting a great defense due to the lack of a good QB? Where have I heard that one before?
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 08:00 AM) Random FF question: I think I got credit for 33 yards Delanie Walker received off of a lateral in the last play of the Titans-Jets game...is that how those plays are always scored? Would hate to see something like that stat corrected later in the week since I'm in a close matchup I think so. If there was a fumble, I think it could be different, but given they were all clean laterals, I don't think it would change.
  6. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 08:24 AM) That Buffalo defense is no joke. I knew they have a good front five, but that secondary played great yesterday. Packers really blew it and now may have to go into Seattle. They made a ton of mistakes, but a horrible game plan by McCarthy. They threw the ball 45 times on a day when Lacy was averaging over 6.5 yards per carry. Dumb. You guys are gonna be the world's biggest Cardinals fans on Sunday night. They play great at home, but given the dire QB situation they are still 7.5 point underdogs.
  7. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 10:49 PM) I still don't like this, I know that it solves a issue and it's a short term deal but I do not want any players tied to PEDs on the Sox. He's now the 3rd White Sox player who has been suspended for PEDs.
  8. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) For those of you saying a SEC football game, I would suggest going to Ole Miss if possible. I love tailgaiting for Tennessee games, and Alabama, Georgia, LSU (night game) are awesome too. But The Grove is so unique. It's hard to truly comprehend it until you go. And Oxford is a pretty charming town as well. The difficult thing about an Ole Miss game is that it's impossible to find a hotel b/c Oxford is so small. You'd have to rent out a house (or apartment) for the weekend, which is what I did last October for the UT-Ole Miss game. This was #2 on my list. Ole Miss, night game at LSU, or Tuscaloosa.
  9. Steroids is the preferred medical term
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 07:05 PM) .735 OPS in 2012, .835 OPS in 2013. Which one is the real Castro? QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 07:18 PM) Agreed. I don't see the appeal. 2013 was clearly a fluky season with a .355 BABIP and a HR/FB rate that has been a complete outlier in his career to date. He hardly hit for any power in the minors then popped a +.200 ISO in '13. No surprise to see he couldn't sustain it this year. Both his K% and BB% have been trending in the wrong direction the last two seasons. I think he is better than Flowers, but it wouldn't be a big enough improvement to warrant giving up the pieces that the Astros will demand. Well that answers my question, thanks for the analysis.
  11. Hopefully one of those moves is to fire Hawk and replace him with a competent announcer. That would really make the 2015 team watchable.
  12. I was watching a matchup of two 2-11 teams and jumped up and got excited because a pass interference penalty on 3rd and Goal gave my running back another chance to score a TD, which he did. Fantasy football is the best.
  13. 1. Sale/Q/Samardzija/Robertson stay healthy 2. Robin stays out of the way 3. Melky shares some of his magic potion with the rest of the clubhouse
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) .651 OPS with over 150 strikeouts. I hope whatever they give up, it isn't much. .735 OPS in 2012, .835 OPS in 2013. Which one is the real Castro?
  15. Congrats Coach Q, you win, you get to keep your meathead on the roster. It's not like young, cheap talent can help with future salary cap problems.
  16. Buffalo is 4-0 against the NFC North, 4-6 against the AFC
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Seattle needs the Cardinals to fall apart, otherwise Green Bay would be hosting They are gonna have to start Ryan Lindley or Logan Thomas at QB, so an Arizona collapse is very possible. Although Seattle needs to worry about San Francisco today first
  18. To each their own, but I just hope you are consistent and never support or celebrate the 2005 team, there were some cheaters on that roster too.
  19. QUOTE (venom4789 @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 12:49 PM) Every year i try to map out who is pitching when and buy tickets accordingly, then it rains in april and i end up seeing the number five pitcher when i go to a game. That's your mistake. It's the White Sox, just wait until the day of the game, it won't be sold out.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 09:20 AM) Not to mention WAR is a counting stat and Sale missed a month. Arrieta pitched 17.1 less innings than Sale in 2014. If Arrieta repeats his 2014 season, I don't think it's a stretch to say he's better than Q. That's a big if though, because he had been a bust before then. Q has proved it for several years now.
  21. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 11:05 PM) These are the final scores I'm hoping for... Saints 45 Bears 17 Lions 37 Bears 13 That should do it We will see but somehow the Saints are bigger underachievers than the Bears this year, although they aren't as dysfunctional. Who knows what will happen Monday night.
  22. QUOTE (gatnom @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 04:30 PM) I'd love to get you a position at Illinois.
