2011 AL Central Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) It sucked losing John Lamb (#18 overall prospect according to BA) to TJ surgery, but I still believe we've got enough pitching in-house. Mike Montgomery and Danny Duffy are still developing. There's still some hope for O'Sullivan and Hochevar. I believe Aaron Crow will end up in the rotation. Odorizzi looks very, very promising. Good luck with that

Humber got a front page Tribune story and I think the stardom is getting to his head today!

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Just got back from the game, Brent f***ing Lillibridge, wow. At this point, there is no excuse to not have him in the lineup 4-5 days a week, playing wherever, he has earned it. Good to see the team bounce back from a bad loss, and get a W. Two straight Ws for Danks, watch out.

Why would JR order you to cut the payroll of a team that will win the division? Are we really making these threads now?

2011 Soccer Season
Did the US really lose to Panama on home turf? Wow. Do they still have a good chance of advancing? If they don't, it would be a disaster of epic proportions.

2011 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) Contract Oakland and KC or Tampa and realign this way: (4 NL teams to the AL, 2 AL teams to the NL) AL East: Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox New York Yankees Toronto Blue Jays AL Central: Chicago White Sox Cleveland Indians Detroit Tigers Minnesota Twins Milwaukee Brewers AL South: Texas Rangers Houston Astros Atlanta Braves Florida Marlins Tampa Bay Rays or Kansas City Royals NL East: New York Mets Washington Nationals Philadelphia Phillies Pittsburgh Pirates NL Central: Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds St. Louis Cardinals Colorado Rockies NL West: Los Angeles Dodgers Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim San Diego Padres Arizona Diamondbacks San Francisco Giants Seattle Mariners Part of the problem now is the imbalance of the AL West & NL Central. Why would they add more imbalance and more divisons with uneven amounts of teams?

Konerko franchise mark
QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 01:00 AM) I think the blue jays failures as a team will hurt his chances too much. Assuming the Red Sox win the East, the voting should be interesting if Bautista still has better overall numbers than AGon.

2010-2011 NHL thread
The amount of diving and embellishing that was going on last night was just awful, embarassing to the game. f*** Vancouver. One of these close games has to go Boston's way, hopefully they can get on Luongo early in game 6.

2010-2011 NBA Thread
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 08:36 AM) This series would already be over if Butler and Heyward were healthy. Haywood's injury has hurt the Mavs, but just watching Brian Cardinal in an NBA Finals has more than made up for it. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 11:24 AM) I would take Hakeem 100 times out of 100 over Russell and never think twice about it. I can agree with that. Russell gets so much credit because of all his titles, but those were also 9-team leagues where the Celtics always had the most talent. It's so much harder to win a title nowadays.

2011 Cubs Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) It took Grantland less than 36 hours to run a paean to Wrigley Field. I'd say it's pretty good journalism to label the mindset of an entire stadium while you aren't even in that stadium. The rooftops are made to be more of a party atmosphere (all you can drink/eat), as opposed to a great place to watch a baseball game.

...And that's a White Sox WINNER!!!
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 09:18 AM) Twins have quietly taken 7 of 8. And are still the worst team in the AL and only percentage points ahead of Houston

Catch All Anything Thread
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) So I misspelled "must" as "msut" in a pretty long email to someone in a different department that's working on a project with me. This was her reply to a lenghty email: Felt like a cheapshot a bit, especially considering there is a grammer mistake in her email. Oh well, I got a good laugh out of it, and she was correct in that I needed to turn that auto spell check on. She does have a point, but what a beotch. You should respond "Thanks so much, that will surely save ME untold embarassment in the future."

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 08:25 AM) The Yankees just claimed Jeff Marquez and put him in their pen. They are indeed panicking. The only lefty in their pen is none other than Bone Loogan, er Boone Logan.
