It's not that Nimmala is better, it's that they'd have to offer better than him to get either guy (or at least Soriano). And the only similar prospect the Sox have that is definitely better is Bonemer.

Nimmala is a better prospect, but there are some similarities there with Carlson maybe having a higher ceiling if they ever unlock his power. Controllable pitchers have definitely been expensive this deadline.

Yeah, getting either Soriano or Detmers is going to require giving up Bonemer.
