  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 13, 2012 -> 10:58 AM) I expect Y2HH to spend the next 4 days trying to recreate everything in that video to disprove it. He'll even wear the batman outfit. That video is completely inaccurate, Apple would never guide you into a Mall!
  2. So the Bulls are down partying at UIUC...but I'm not there.
  3. http://gizmodo.com/5950391/apple-maps-acci...t-military-base Now Apple should do this for all United States military bases as well. I want to see what's actually in Area 51.
  4. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) Best dozen in all of baseball? I'm sure someone could come up with 12 better than Peavy. The problem was there was more hype to Peavy than his performances. I don't think fans would push him out the door if he signs for $12-13M. So what if he had won all of those games the Sox bullpen blew or those games where he gave up 1-2 runs and the offense simply disappeared? Sure, Peavy did pitch some bad games when it mattered, but he also pitched well a few times when it mattered as well (first Tampa Bay game, for instance). Not every pitcher in baseball comes up in the clutch every time and that includes some of the top pitchers in the game. Peavy wasn't a Cy-Young candidate, but he was easily one of the top 15 pitchers in the AL this year.

I found out that Joakim Noah does his whole pistol routine after he hits a jumper in NBA 2K13. So cool.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 02:35 PM) When my iPhone 5 comes, is there an easy way to wipe my 4 clean of my stuff and give it to my mom? You can just do a factory reset on the phone. No need to go through iTunes.
  7. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 09:15 AM) It puzzles me that Google purchased Motorola Mobility, but does nothing with them. It's become obvious that was just a patent buy at this point. Motorola still releases what I consider the worst in breed Android models, which makes no sense to me, since Google owns them, it would be the obvious play for Google's flagship Nexus phones to be Motorola branded, maybe with some Google oversight to keep the often overzealous Motorola designers in check. I still have to rate the Samsung GS3 the top tier Android phone, with the HTC OneX or OneX+ coming in a very close second, followed then by the often underpowered Nexus models (underpowered in comparison to the Galaxy's, etc.) I find the Motorola branded phones to feel cheap...but to be sure, I've only messed with them for a short period at phone stores display models. That said, I found their build quality far behind that of the S3 or OneX. If you haven't noticed, the new RAZRs and Atrix HD all have on-screen buttons. They are the first OEM to adopt that on a non-Nexus phone. Those same phones also leave the bare-bone Android OS alone for the most part, a lot more so than what HTC, Samsung, and Sony do. It's clear that there is some influence going on, but I don't think Google or Motorola want to make it look like they're playing favorites. I'm also not sure why you don't like the Moto designs. I really like them. Kevlar on the back for grip and scratch protection seems fine to me.
  8. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 08:35 AM) Do any major phones even have removable batteries at this point? I thought everyone went away from that because of space concerns. Samsung is pretty much the last major Android OEM to still have replaceable batteries in their phones. I don't think having a non-replaceable battery is a deal-breaker, but it sure as hell doesn't hurt to have a removable battery.
  9. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 02:01 AM) I have Reed and Rios going to T.B. not Floyd. It doesn't really matter. They don't have the money for Rios and I honestly think TB is an organization that doesn't give two s***s about bullpen prospects. They get effective closers out of nowhere just about every year.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 01:44 AM) Just wanted to say I'm done being negative about the past season. I've said enough regarding my disappointment over what I considered a pretty s***ty collapse. The only negativity you'll be seeing from me will be my continued support of Ozzie. On to the offseason. I'm sick of fretting about the past season. It's ova and I'm done b****ing about it. You've b****ed more about this year more than you've b****ed about any other year before, or so it seems.
  11. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 08:17 PM) My 2012 plan: This team needs better baseball IQ, fundamentals and higher .OBP. This is a roster shakeup that is entirely possible. Key subtractions: Rios (trade) AJ (walk) Floyd (trade) Alexei (trade) Peavy (walk) Reed (trade) Youkilis (walk) Key additions: Sign Brian McCann 3/$36 Sign Eric Chavez 1/$1.5M Trade Rios & Reed to T.B. for Ben Zobrist & Wade Davis (Sell high on Rios and Reed. TB lost Upton. Needs OF. Davis replaces Floyd in rotation) Trade Ramirez , cash & Floyd to Texas for Elvis Andrus (Andrus blocking Profar and free agent in 2015. Allows another year or two of development for Profar. Texas desperately needs pitching. Floyd is decent get in this deal) Sign Austin Kearns 1/$1M Sign Carlos Villanueva 2/$5M Re-sign Brett Meyers to close/start (4th starter) Rotation: Sale Danks Davis Quintana Villanueva Lineup: DeAza (CF) Andrus (SS) Zobrist (RF) Konerko (1B) McCann © Dunn (DH) Viciedo (LF) Chavez (3B) Beckham (2B) Zobrist can play 3B along with Chavez (part time). Kearns plays RF. Tampa Bay doesn't have the money for Rios and Floyd. I do like the idea of Chavez and Villanueva though. I think signings like those are far more realistic and believe it or not, can make a big difference.
  12. Google's next Nexus phone has been outed. Word has it that there will be more than just one Nexus phone this time around, but it looks like the LG one will be the first. If Google sells this phone for $400 like they did with the Galaxy Nexus, I'll be be tempted to purchase it. It's a nice upgrade over my Galaxy Nexus (S4 Snapdragon way more power efficient than the TI OMAP AND twice the RAM).
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) I really can't believe you posted that. Are you serious? The people doing the predicting figured Rios, Dunn, Peavy and AJP would suck. They all had excellent years, pretty much erasing the predictions. When I get time I'll get the records of every season. Geez I don't have a memory like some of you guys. I can't remember seasons til I look it all up. Didn't we win over .500 almost every year Oz was here? I can't believe this post. You are bringing up something like this in a postseason we won all but one fricking game?? Do you understand how many moves Ozzie made that were excellent?? I gave Robin a frickin B. I can't imagine anybody giving him an A after that epic collapse. An embarrassing collapse. What about that collapse from Ozzie last year with pretty much the same team? What about that collapse in 2010? 2006?
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 02:20 AM) This was a playoff team this year (once Dunn and Rios and AJP showed they came to play right out of the gate) and didn't even make the playoffs. Yet Robin is beloved just cause he never opened his mouth and the Sox were out of the news all year. Makes no sense to me. This year was a colossal failure led by Robin and nobody cares cept 4-5 of us on this board. Weird. (And I gave Robin a B. I don't want him fired). So Ozzie couldn't get s*** done with pretty much the same team last year and Robin actually gets absolutely no credit (hell, negative credit according to you) for motivating and getting these players to play better and back to their career norms?
  15. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 12:36 AM) Yeah, Bears defense is always deceiving too, that first half it didn't seem like they played well at all but Jags only scored 3 points.... 2nd half was just flat out dominating. They will never be the defense that just makes you think it is impossible to move the ball but can't expect much more. Hopefully bye week is what Urlacher needs to get back into dominating form. The d-line didn't get enough pressure in the first half. Gabbert got way too much time to throw. That's why it seemed like our defense was bad. But this is the Jags we're talking about here, which is probably why they didn't score more than 3. Once Gabbert started getting pressured, he made stupid decisions and the secondary feasted on it. It all begins with the front 4 for the Bears, it's always been that way.
  16. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 10:46 PM) Brutal... Im up 106 to 105.. Rivers gets sacked and fumbles at the end of the game, i lose 105 to 104.. That's an awful way to lose. What's funny is that all those stupid penalties cost you at least 2 points.
  17. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 07:15 PM) I know he does. He would be a perfect addition. Bat him 2nd. He also plays a nice SS/2B & OF. No idea what TB would ask for in return, but there's not much I wouldn't give up at this point. I don't see why the Rays should trade him. He's one of the most overlooked players in baseball.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) Ahhh take it easy there pal, don't get personal, everyone in entitled to ones opinion, I hate getting knocked around by a few here cause, I don't go with the flow... Don't use my name for your crap, if you don't like how I graded them then scroll by, don't read my posts. Thanks Jeez, relax, it's a joke. And really, just because you're entitled to your own opinion does not mean people don't have the right to think or say that you're wrong. Plastering "this is my opinion" to a post doesn't mean people can't say anything about it.

  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) No lose situation Rivers seems like the obvious play, but you'll never know... I still cringe at that 5 point performance he had against Atlanta earlier in the year.
  21. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) ok so i need Drew Brees and Sproles to break their legs on the same play and I need Rivers to throw 4 TDs 4 TDs for Rivers is probably possible.
  22. Cutler and Marshall connection. Great game for the Bears O in the second half.
  23. Wow Devin...that was freaking awful. You lost two yards and you committed a penalty.
