QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Versus what his value is, I'd say it's almost a guarantee that Lewis gets overpaid again, while also pocketing the $30 million owed to him on his contract still. I think teams are gonna pay him as a 3 point option off the bench, but that's what I think of his value. I'm not so sure every team in the NBA thinks that way though. Rumor has it that San Antonio wants to replace Richard Jefferson with Lewis. My question is...WHY?!?!

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 07:28 PM) Brandon Roy would be pretty awesome, we have the depth to keep his minutes down while keeping him starting too. I'd love Brandon Roy on this team, even without knees!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 08:18 PM) What's truly sad is that Rashard Lewis will get amnestied, and then get a pretty solid payday. Nobody's going to overpay Rashard Lewis...again.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 26, 2011 -> 06:19 PM) Presumably, for him to wind up being a bench player in Chicago, the process would involve "BG7's entire contract is paid via the amnesty out clause, thus allowing him to be signed as a free agent, at which point he is signed for a portion of the MLE by the Chicago Bulls". Thus, his current salary wouldn't matter. Gordon wasn't good with the Pistons, but he wasn't horrible. 55% TS last season, which is perfectly acceptable. I'd take him over any of our SG options right now at the right price.

With Rose getting a max deal soon, I think the Bulls should use the amnesty on Boozer. I don't know if the clause is only for this year, or it's for every year. But if it's every year, you might as well do that next off-season.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 24, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) It's a lot easier to shut down Aaron Rodgers while he's on the sideline where he can't do a god damn thing. True, the Lions had the ball for 2/3 of the first half. But even when Rodgers had the ball, he didn't do much with the amount of pressure he had in his face.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 24, 2011 -> 11:10 PM) The Lions are cowardly bastards. As for the Packers...the only team I think could have beaten them was the Bears with Cutler. Now I'm not sure. The Lions defense absolutely shut Rodgers down in the first half. The only way to stop that offense is to get massive pressure with your front line, which the Lions did. The Lions shat all over themselves on offense though and when Suh got kicked out, the pressure was no longer as strong and the Packers capitalized. This Packers team is definitely beatable. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Giants beat them next week.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 24, 2011 -> 11:03 PM) "I want to apologize to my teammates, my coaches and my true fans for allowing the refs to have an opportunity to take me out of this game," Suh said. "What I did was remove myself from the situation the best way I felt, with me being held down. My intention was not to kick anybody, as I did not, removing myself," he said. "I was on top of a guy, being pulled down, and trying to get up off the ground -- and why you see me pushing his helmet down, because I'm trying to remove myself from the situation, and as I'm getting up, I'm getting pushed, so I'm getting myself on balance." lol I sympathize with Suh. This s*** happens all the time! A guy posted this on another board: "When I left for work yesterday morning I slipped on a patch of ice. I didn't want to fall, I mean who does, right? As I was slowly and awkwardly careening towards the earth, I was able to reach out and slam a passerby's head into the ground a few times, before finishing him off with a perfectly executed stomp. Thanks random pedestrian! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have regained my balance." I think I saw that on the ESPN article's comments. It's pretty much what Suh did.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 04:06 PM) Its not Angelo's choice, many other teams have a shot at Orton first. There is even a chance a team like Detroit claims him just to deny the Bears the opportunity. How does the NFL waiver thing work? If it's anything like MLB's, the Bears get to pick before Detroit does.

AL MVP is....
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 08:01 AM) ckamka Christopher Kamka Let the records show that the only guy to hit HR off Verlander & Weaver (1 and 2 in AL Cy Young vote) in 2011 was Adam Dunn. Beast.

NL MVP is...
I thought he would win it since the voters don't like to give MVPs to guys on mediocre teams. See: Matt Kemp and Jose Bautista. I can't really argue about this one, I personally liked Braun better. Both he and Kemp are lousy fielders, the only difference between them is that one plays center and the other plays left. Braun actually had a better OPS, wOBA, and wRC+ than Kemp, so I can't say this was a bad choice.
