Wow... The French make a lot of good products.

I guess this opens the door for A-Rod to get traded to the Yankees, eh?
-
im sure it is he is alot better at debating than you double Yes he is... He's way more informed than I am.
-
If you have no problem with gays, then why would you use the word "f**gots" as a term of condemnation?

The media loves to hype up pacifism and anti-war sentiment as being anit-American because TV war coverage is a cash cow. Therefore, the media that provides (and conviently, censors) what you see slants everything in its own best interest... Finding the worst and stupidest war protestors.

Good to hear from you again, apu

I don't think that Goering quote was aimed that the pro-war folk; I think it was aimed at the cowboy in the White House and his top officials. Of course, that's how I read it.
-
aw s*** yeah LOL... I was wondering how long before that got posted. IRISH!

I agree that flag burning should be legally allowed, but I won't feel too sorry for these people when they get the f***ing piss beaten out of them. Flag burning, while an effective way of protest, is just stupid. There are much more coherent ways to get your point across.

Well there's the rub... If you want any attention you got to go out there and do something worthy of it... Rioting, blowing s*** up, and what not isn't good... Stopping a street, well, that's fine with me.
-
What victims? All anyone can come up with are little hypotheticals as to why a bunch of pissed off people shouldn't be allowed to march in a street? Sorry, I don't see the argument. I figure most of it is just because no one likes to see anti-war rallies because obviously all us pacifists are Satan Incarnate and have nothing better to do with our time than to plot schemes to destroy America from the inside. Freedom of speech is mean to be expressed, not just appreciated. What can I say? We all feel sorry for the poor old guy who unfortunately had a hypothetical heart attack and lives on Lake Shore Drive but we're going to send thousands of young Americans and innocent Iraqis to their graves.

Hopefully they're not blocking the fastest route to the doorstep of a dying family member's house when the ambulance can't get through and has to expend precious life-saving seconds averting their route of travel. That's just one thought..... What if someone is dying in an apartment who's door faces the street route for the St. Patrick's Day Parade? I'd say he's pretty damn well screwed. IIIII don't think so. Parade routes are set-up specifically for the expeditious movement of emergency vehicles. Additionally, extra police and fire personnel, along with the necessary paramedics and ambulances are available..... before the parade starts..... in anticipation of parade goers or members of the neighborhood which the parade route passes through falling ill. What happened yesterday in downtown Chicago takes none of this into account and creates a dangerous situation for all the unfortunate victims of circumstance which happen to be in the protest area. Why do you think months are spent specifically for the planning of a parade event? But still.... That parade... Think of the precious seconds it would waste...

Conviently forgetting sanctions, I suppose. Some reports have Saddam killing more than 100,000 of his own people during his tyranny. And sanctions are brought on by Saddam willingly invading a neighboring country..... not anything the US willingly did. Well first, the Kuwatis were slant drilling into Iraqi oil fields. Or essentially they were walking into Iraq and stealing millions of dollars from them. If Mexico tried that sort of shenanigan with the US, they, too, would most likely be subject to an ass-whooping. And anyways, the UN-backed sanctions sat there for twelve years and have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and no one ever did jack s*** about it.

Pent up frustration is a very dangerous thing. When you have a President who essentially tells you to "f*** off," I can't see that being all to conducive to peaceful protesting. That, and a lot of times, cops help provoke these sorts of things.
-
I don't see why blocking traffic on a couple street throws everyone into such a hissy fit. Jesus Motherf***ing Christ. Anyways, I doubt there'd be so much backlash if this was a pro-war rally.

What the hell is wrong with you? Be anti-French all you like, but this is getting idiotic.
-
No, cwsox. Freedom of speech was only meant to be appreciated... Never used.

Dude, do you seriously believe that when this war's over, everyone's going to just go home and pretend like everything's back to normal? Do you honestly think that all of the anti-American sentiment that has engulfed the world will just stop? I will admit that there will be some good to come from this war, but to just blindly say that it's all good and not even consider the fact that we're spawning a new generation of anti-American terrorists, we're basically telling the world, "f*** you, we'll do whatever we want and you and your stupid opinions can eat s***," and we're spending billions of dollars to wage war on an enemy that's at best a minor threat to America (compared to other nations) and is, at worst, just an approval rating's scapegoat for George Bush since he can't find Osama bin Laden. There are a lot of issues you're blatantly not taking into consideration when you say, "the protestors should just shut up."
-
Well while it's nice to see a positive to this war, its almost certain that there will be negative reprocussions as a result of it. Before we all get on Cloud Nine and tell the protestors to shut up and what not, this ain't over... We're going to have to live with the consequences of these actions for a very long time. And yes, I will be protesting this war tonight.
-
Bla Bla Bla You can be anti-war and still support the troops, ya'know.
-
Of course we don't see both sides. The American media makes a field day on censoring what they show us. Still, it is nice to see weakening resistance. Maybe we can get this f***ing war over with.
-
That's how you change things.
