  1. All right, pick all the series.. We'll redo this if the Cubs still f*** it up. ALDS A's 3, Red Sox 1 Yankees 3, Twins 0 NLDS Braves 3, Cubs 1 Marlins 3, Giants 2 ALCS A's 4, Yankees 3 NLCS Braves 4, Marlins 1 World Series A's 4, Braves 2
  2. OK... Boston extends it's 80-odd years of being loser b****es, IMO. Although it would be nice to watch them get pounded by the Yankees in the ALCS...

    MLB Showdown

Oooo...That'll get you about $1.... Canadian.
  4. Excuse me, have you forgotten a guy by the name of Reed?? Honel has more upside than Reed, and Honel has done very well for his 2nd straight year. I'm not calling Reed a fluke or anything, but I think Honel gets the #1 spot on future upside. I'll have to see Honel break 90 before I buy the "upside" Yeah... Him and Greg Maddux... One of these days they'll both be great.. They just have to hit 90. Radar gun.. Ha ha ha ha.
  5. There's no reason to bring Everett back, Maggs is coming back (he's already got the extension locked) unless he's dealt, we'll have to see about Frank, Buehrle is also under contract. If we lose Colon, 2004 will probably be another 80-89 win season.
  6. If the Twins hadn't rattled off 11 in a row, they probably could have won this thing with 88; which is essentiall "85 wins."
  7. I hope the Sox aren't going to offer Colon a crap contract like they did for Ventura and Johnson (and, that was a solid no-sign, too... CJ has sucked since 2000).

    Banned books

Maybe I missed it, but I could have sworn The Autobiography of Malcolm X was one of, if not the, most banned books... Although, maybe schools never even think of teaching it so there's no need to ban it? Either way, it's an incredible book. Easily one of the best I've ever read along with To Kill A Mockingbird, Slaughter-house 5, The Qu'ran, and Catcher in the Rye.
  9. Actually, this is nothing more than regurgitated material from several American conspiracy theorists that have been circulating since rougly September 12, 2001.' Yawn
  10. Royce Ring is on the Cubs? Do they mean "Mets" or when the f*** did that happen?
  11. Naw, the IHL folded a few years ago, so its not called the Turner Cup anymore. Whatever the AHL championship is called... Maybe the Whogivesaf*** Cup?
  12. It will never happen. It makes no sense for ND to join another conference. The money is to good from their TV deal with NBC. That's true plus the fact that they'd have to play games on the road, Lose to Northwestern, and never get to a BCS bowl game, let alone get to keep the 10 - 13 million dollars for going to one of those games. We got a whiner, here, people. :finger WHINER?!?!?!?!?! NO I'd love to see ND pony up and play with the big boys. They'd be lucky to post a winning record in any REAL Conference. What? Notre Dame consistently plays one of the toughest schedules in the country. And the Big 10 has plenty of cupcakes in it... Illinois, Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan State (how did we still come within a touchdown of winning that game?)...
  13. I'm willing to give up plenty of money as long as it goes to the right places... I'm not looking forward to forking over a nice chunk of my paycheck so some stuffy, jackass millionaire in Hinsdale can buy his 16-year old daughter 2 Mercedes convertables (16-year girls never like the color their dad pick out for them) and so the military can go build themselves some more bombs they can bury in some shelter 100 miles under North Dakota to use as "diplomatic levrage." Karma? I call it the machines of capitalism being oiled by the blood of the workers. Homer Simpson, you are a genius.
  14. They don't have a man big enough to take down the Goliaths that play out West. Play-offs is realistic (but that's because over 1/2 the teams in the NBA make the postseason) and the East is weak; but I don't think they'll be winning no hardware in a while.

  16. There's a story on ESPN.com... ND says "N" "O"
  17. No Bears? They have just as good a chance as the Bulls, Hawks, Sox, and Cubs, I think (roughly 0).
  18. No, they'll still keep the deal they have. This is Notre Dame we're talking about here... And, I'd much rather watch them join the ACC than the Big 10.
