All the ND fans I know of are awesome people, actually. So are alot of Cubs fans I know. It's just that their blind allegiance to the Cubs sickens me. Ever wonder why Chicago gets every ND game on Saturday but only 2-3 NW or Illini games a season? NW, Illini..... hell..... WIU, EIU, ISU, SIU, etc. are teams from Illinois that no one here evers gets the opportunity to see (unless they're playing ND ) on TV because "everyone" in Chicago is a ND fan. BULLs***! The Chicago sports media believes, like Cubs fans believe, that everyone in Chicago is a ND football fan and, like with the Cubs, that just isn't the case. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh Every ND game is televised in Chicago (and the nation) because ND isn't in a conference, and therefore can ink its own TV deal with NBC, as opposed to Illinois, Northwestern, and the rest of the s*** teams you just mentioned that have to stay within the parameters of their conference TV deal. But I'm sure you're right about some massive, Chicago-media based conspiracy about how the University of Notre Dame would rather keep it's independent NBC deal rather than lose a couple million dollars a year by joining the Big 10 or some other horses*** conference.
