  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) Why am I not supposed to hate on someone because they're good? There's no fun in rivalries then. Who cares about disliking scrubs like Blatche? I'm not going to like every NBA player and I don't like LeBron. That being said, I wanted him on the Bulls badly. I would not trade Rose for him though. I would ship all the Bulls to Miami, including Rose, for LBJ but that's just me. He's a once in a generation player.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 09:13 AM) Let me put it this way... I didn't see a single person say they didn't want LeBron, Wade, and/or Bosh on the Bulls during the free agent frenzy of a few years ago. No one said anything like that until AFTER they went to Miami. This LBJ in a Bulls jersey would look gooooooood He's just too good to keep hating on, it's not like he's murdered someone. Lucky Heat "fans"...and if he's finally figured it out;, may the basketball gods have mercy on the rest of us.
  3. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 10:50 PM) That is a silly rule. Do you have to just run them over and hope they drop it? Drew would've been killed trying to truck over Miggy. Go in feet first and if Miggy doesn't get out of the way, bury the spikes in him. GO A's
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 12:55 PM) J4L never said the Bulls sucked, he said they had no chance of beating Miami. The Knicks thing was a bit of overhyperbole, but he copped to it and said he was wrong, we just rode it hard and never stopped. And that is why I apologized. We will never know if a healthy Bulls could have beaten Miami, but we do know that Miami beasted last post season and it would have taken a truly herculean effort by the Bulls to beat the Heat last season. It probably wasnt in the cards. The old ass and injured Celtics took them to 7 games, yeah they didn't have Bosh but if Rose freak injury never happens and even with a healthy Bosh, maybe the Bulls beat Miami. yeah, we'll never know for sure.
  5. Just an observation...RZZZA is like J4L on his thoughts on the Bulls only the complete opposite, lol
  6. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 12:05 PM) Derrick needs to come back whenever the medical professionals tell him it's best to come back. He's on a strict rehab/training regimen. Taking the entire year off sounds good to people who have no knowledge in the medical/sports field, but in reality extra rest is not only not a good thing, but it's counterproductive. MJ FTW
  7. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) Through 5 games, Jay Cutler is rated 2nd best QB in the 4th quarter with a QBR of 118. 5th best in the 2nd half with a QBR of 107 t-25th in the first half with a QBR of 57 He's like the anti-Lebron! Did you miss last season's NBA playoffs and Finals?
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 11:50 AM) This we can agree on - though it might not even be this year. In an interview with NBA TV's Steve Aschburner, Derrick Rose mentioned the possibility that he could miss the entire season as he recovers from knee surgery. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nba/185...lay-this-season I hope he takes the year off, and I hope Bulls FO is smart enough to tell Rose to not come back too early...we know Rose is a competitor and when he starts feeling good, he's gonna want to come back and help his team. Get that man away from the team and let him recover completely.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 10, 2012 -> 11:16 AM) This team is in the worst possible position without Derrick Rose... Not good enough to compete in any meaningful way, but not bad enough to get a reward for their suckage. This is something like a 40 to 45 win team, misses the lottery because they get the eighth seed. AKA NBA hell. great point, maybe tanking for a lottery pick wouldn't be the worst thing, the Bulls don't pull in top FA talent that's for sure and the core players are young enough to build around.
  10. I guess I'm somewhere between the more pessimistic and the more optimistic fans here, the way Thibs get's these guys to bust ass during the regular season makes me think they'll be a 50+ win team but they aren't ready to challenge LeBron/Heat yet this season. My expectations won't be that high this season.
  11. What I meant when I said that the Packers aren't very good this year is in comparison to the previous two seasons. They are still a top NFC team and yeah, they should be 3-2.
  12. I wouldn't eat worms and roaches if it meant having a night with Kate Upton, much less some damn snake that could one day kill you. The hell was wrong with that guy.
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) Or just one crazy guy who happens to put an R next to his name. It's just more than one guy, Todd Akin, Michelle Bauchmann, Sarah Palin, these last two congressmen in this thread. Obviously there are extremists on both parties but the GOP sure has a knack of getting them elected, these anti-science throwbacks.
  14. The Top 3 teams are San Fran, Houston and Atlanta. I still don't know how real the Bears are because even though they have looked pretty dominant at times, that loss vs the Packers still has me iffy of how good the Bears are since Green Bay just isn't very good this year. The Lovie haters sure have been quiet though, lol.
  15. Nate Silver said the post debate big bounce would eventually fade but he is also saying the race will tighten as we get to election day, he said they natuarally do. Obama just needs to be more forceful next time, the town hall meeting format is more favorable for him anyways. Also, Biden needs to Cheney Ryan, make him look too green, I just hope Biden doesn't stick his foot in his mouth like he is so prone to doing.
  16. Unbelievable... Today's Republican Party FTW
  17. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 06:02 PM) If Ozzie is fired and doesn't manage another team, what should he do next? I can think of a lot of things Ozzie could do. He definitely should come back to Chicago. How about opening a restaurant ? How about putting him in the booth with The hawk and Stoney? How about a show on the SCORE? To the best of my knowledge, the press in Chicago still likes him. Probably bc he gives them good material to work with. We already have Ditka, couldn't stand another overrated former coach/manager.
  18. QUOTE (Cali @ Oct 6, 2012 -> 12:41 PM) f*** Detroit.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) ...right, because this is something Obama never does. Oh, wait...he has just as many times. I guess that means you won't be voting for either! Let's see, what has Obama flip flopped on, right in front of your face, but you don't give a f*** about it...because you relate yourself to a party instead of relating yourself to reality/logic. * Gitmo closing. Nope, Gitmo staying open. * End wars. Ehh, no...keep wars going. * Gay marriage bad! No, Gay marriage good! * No deficit spending. Deficit spending. * No spying on citizens. More spying on citizens! * No tax cuts for the rich. Eh, f*** it...let's extend the Bush tax cuts. * No cracking down on Weed/Hemp. Make that more cracking down on Weed/Hemp! * More transparency. Nope, make that less transparency. * No more business as usual in Washington. Wait, scratch that...just as much if not more business as usual in Washington! So, in other words, it's ok when Obama does it all the time, but not Mitt Romney. Ok...we get it. Clue: They both do it. They're both politicians. And those are just the ones off the top of my head... People. Need. To. Wake. The. f***. Up. I know Obama isn't perfect, never said he was, but he's a lot closer to my political stances than the Republicans. Tell me why do you defend Romney so much, what great policy ideas does he bring to the table, huh? Or is that you like Romney because he has an R next to his name? I'm a Democrat because I agree more with their platform and I believe the GOP caters to the redneck mouthbreathers. I may not be the wonkiest poster here but the GOP really bother me with their backward anti-science, bible thumping, gun loving intolerent nonsense. I have noticed that a lot of you guys say you are mainly conservatives because you believe in fiscal responsibility, balanced budgets and whatnot, that's total bull crap, When is the last time a Republican president didn't expand the Federal government, didn't soend like a drunken sailor in a Thai whorehouse, let alone actually leave a surplus? Reagan (hero to the right) left a huge deficit at the end of his term and so have every Republican president since. Republican b**** and moan about deficit spending unless it's a Republican president, W went bats*** crazy on that front but nowhere did I see FOX news up in arms about that nor did I see Republican congressmen complaining. Fiscal responsibility my ass. What makes the GOP better? I would really like to hear your reasons. Is it because they hate f*gs, A-rabs and wetbacks? Or is it because redneck Republicans are more 'mericun than us liberal tree hugging Godless commies? If you say it's because you really do believe in balanced budgets and small government, then the GOP isn't the party you should support and you are more blind than what you claim us liberals to be... Open yer f*cking eyes
  20. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) Obama had no details, no ideas, no plan. Just his usual marketing slogans. It still amazes me that a certain segment of the population buys into it; but I suppose we are talking about the bottom of the intellectual barrel. They will believe anything with a shiny logo and marketing slogan. OTOH, Mitt has taken both sides of every issue! Well, maybe except for tax breaks for the wealthy, that he has been consistently pro tax cuts!

  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) Obama was caught off guard by Romney disavowing every position the president brought up. He never recovered and hit back at the multiple openings he was given. Kerry also haunted W in the first debate and the next 2 were seen as Kerry wins but not an asswhupping like the first debate and still W won the election. Debates aren't the game changers they once were...if they ever were.
