QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 09:48 AM) Assuming the following: Boozer could not be moved and is amnestied The McDermott trade happens exactly as it did (Randolph included) Hinrich signs Does soxtalk prefer: Rose-Hinrich Stephenson - Snell Butler - Doug Taj - Mirotic Noah - Greg Smith or the current Rose-Hinrich Butler-Snell Dunleavy-Mcdermott Gasol-Taj-Mirotic Noah-Gasol ???? I like the first line up, dat athleticism and defense.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 07:44 AM) To expand - Rose has a max contract and has hardly played in three years. Westbrook, while awesome in the bounceback season, has his own worries regarding his legs. Bosh, I mean that one's not even worth discussing. Dwight is a shell of his former self (still very good, but his efficiency is light years behind Love). Harden is the only one you could really argue, but I think I'd still lean Love. Kevin Love was 3rd in PER behind LeBron and Durant last season. Sorry, not trying to pick on you, but your post was ignorant and laughable. This is a message board, you feel one way, not everyone is going to agree. I've given my reasons as to why I don't like Love, and I'm not the only one who feels that way.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 07:33 AM) Good lord, Felix really has ruined this board. Differing opinions, Felix thought Rose was an overrated inefficient chucker. I think Love is a stat padder whose nice stats doesn't translate into more Wolves wins, and is a liability on defense.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 16, 2014 -> 06:26 AM) Wade gets 11 million less than If he would of not opted out. People have been found in car trunks for waaaay less money than that, lol. I still can't believe Wade would do that without knowing for sure what LeBron was gonna do. Maybe they weren't THAT close as the media had us believe. I think the Heat realize what Wade left on the table trying get LeBron to re sign (and his role in bringing him there in the first place). They'll take care of him in the long run, probably give him a position in the Heat organization after he retires.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 15, 2014 -> 04:53 PM) Completely agree. I'd take Lebron, Durant, George, Melo, and Chris Paul over him, for starters. Could add to the list but just rolled the first 5 that came to my head off the list. Yeah, going further, I'd take healthy Rose, Westbrook, Bosh, Howard and Harden over Love too. Just not a fan of his. I wouldn't trade Wiggins for him, no way.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 14, 2014 -> 06:33 AM) I kind of feel the way I did about the Bears a few years ago. Tired of good defense, I want to score some points. Of course that method hasn't worked for the Bears the past couple of seasons, but still. Ha, so true. The thing with Bears though is that they went from a solid defense with a terrible offense to a historically bad defense with a very good offense. I'm betting the Bulls will noticeably improve on offense, and no way will Thibs allow the defense to drop off in a major way. I just hope Thibs give Niko and McBuckets alot of burn.

I'm actually excited about the Bulls, obviously it all hinges on Rose ability to stay on the floor.

2014 FIFA World Cup
QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 13, 2014 -> 04:45 PM) They cant use that as an excuse, especially since they needed 120 minutes in 3 of their 4 knockout games. Best team won, glad it wasnt settled by kicks. Germany was the better team but Argentina had 3 clear chances to score and win the game and would be just winners if they had. Congrats to Germany

Argentina can't miss chances like Higuain early in the game, then Messi and Palacio and expect to win, SMH.

QUOTE (bulokis @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 05:30 PM) Welcome to hard nose basketball but not good enough for the playloffs chicago bulls team again. Any SF out there for trades? What? The Bulls as is are a contender, barring major moves by the Cavs, I think they can play with any EC team (depending on Rose staying healthy). There are 3 WC teams better than the Bulls (LAC, SAS and OKC) but fortunately you only play one of them if you can get to the Finals.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 05:08 PM) It does seem they think they can parade a star by their 6 trophies and they think that should be good enough to convince them they want to be a Bull. Nevermind the reason those trophies are there is basically one player who was acquired before anyone parading these plyers through had anything to do with the Bulls. Huh? John Paxson?

2014-2015 NBA thread
I knew this was gonna happen when MarshMelo was 'anguishing' where to go, riiiight. Now everyone is upset that GarPax couldn't seal the deal. There never was a deal to close, I can't believe people fell for his dog and pony show. The guy loves NY and getting paid, not hating him for that. What bothers me is he put on this "it's not about the money, it's about winning" facade and alot of us took it hook, line and sinker. And I don't want to hear this crap about PJax not letting Melo go by refusing a S & T, that's some naive BS, Melo cried his way out of Denver, if he really was set on leaving NY, he and his people would've figured out a way. PJax would've done a deal to get some assets in return but he knew it was never coming down to that. This long waiting period for his 'decision' was to make folks believe he had doubts, riiiight. So yeah, let's keep on blaming the FO. BTW, don't know if it's true or not but I kept hearing that Phil never even really wanted Melo that much but Dolan loves him and in no way wanted to lose him.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 02:11 PM) Again health was mentioned. Rose is a pretty good player when healthy. Fraschilla said if Mirotic was in this draft, he would have been top 4. McDermott was a lottery pick and a guy who the Bulls think was the best shooter in the draft. And Gasol got 17 and 10 last year. He isn't quite a stiff yet. They get another scorer, they who in the east is clearly better then them? Granted they didn't add Beasley or Oden. You know, real talent. Ouch. I say the Bulls make a trade for either one of those guys just to make J4L happy, lol
