You guys have no clue Take it from a fellow American living in Mexico, in fact, there are many youtube videos in which American citizens say they feel safer in Mexico than the US. I'll post them later when I'm home so you guys don't think I'm BSing you.

I'm also scared of cops, I've been harrassed by them before and I've never been arrested in my entire life. I'm always on the look out for cops and I try to avoid them to lessen the chance of an encounter with them.
