  1. I think there’s a chance that Trevor Bauer and JT Realmuto are the only players who will get $100 million this offseason. So in that case, Jesse might be right.
  2. That's not what I'm arguing. I've never once said that. I don't think he starts in the majors personally.
  3. This is absurd and just small sample size nonsense to be as frank as I can be. Vaughn isn't a plus defender at 1B but he's fine. Average 1B defense for a long time.
  4. Never look at professional stats from a college player's draft year. They're meaningless. Vaughn is the best 1B prospect in baseball and deserves the billing. Plus power, plus hit and will be a big OBP guy. Elite level aptitude at the plate, exit velocity numbers as well. Paul Konerko is a much better comp for Vaughn. Dude is going to mash.
  5. What is your reasoning as to why he's not a 30 home run guy? What is the skepticism based on?
  6. I'll say this: agents are leaking the Mets and Jays as suitors for everyone like crazy. Be careful how seriously you take public reports.
  7. I think so but I'm curious how long they'd actually wait on Springer
  8. Yeah it's definitely not a bad sign at all. I was just saying that I've heard smoke around Springer that I've shared. Nothing on Bauer substantial though.
  9. For what it's worth, I've heard nothing about Bauer.
  10. Springer's "offer" is for more than that from what I've heard. Also, they offered Zack Wheeler 5/125 last year and even his agent though the deal was done. There might be a cutoff but it's not $80 million over 4.
  11. Mets are targeting Realmuto first. I think that’s their focus right now
  12. Thanks man. I don’t have any specifics on money. I think $23.5 per sounds realistic though. No idea on number of years.
  13. Yeah he’s sleeping. I’ve got some time for awhile haha
  14. Would you guys trade Jonathan Stiever, Leury Garcia and Matt Foster for Bryant? That’s the kind of deal the Cubs are probably looking at from teams. Two big league contributors and a pitching prospect. Bryant won’t have a huge market at $19 million.
  15. The White Sox offered 5/125 for Wheeler and the indication was that they had him. Sox have tried to land Springer in a similar fashion. This isn’t a Machado situation where you’re just waiting to get beat but it doesn’t seem like Springer is in any hurry and honestly he shouldn’t be. Everyone should wait for the Mets at this point. Stuff should start to move a bit after December 2 once the market gets super flooded. I doubt players are knocking down the door to play in Toronto though. They typically have to be the highest offer to land a superstar in similar fashion to the Sox.
  16. Completely agree. I think he's a starter in Birmingham and comes up out of big league bullpen late in season.
  17. Nothing on Bauer at all. Sox are one of the teams on Springer. No idea how advanced anything is.
  18. Jim Callis on the latest Pipeline podcast makes it seem like Rays won't be getting very top of the sports prospects from teams. He says it's financially motivated if they trade him. Mariners wouldn't trade Julio Rodriguez or Kelenic for him so I doubt Kopech or Vaughn would be in play either.
  19. I heard about Howie Clark last week but couldn’t confirm it.
  20. No fucking shot. Luis Robert has 7 years of control. The Rays would have to add multiple pieces. Steve Stone is just an asshole on twitter. I laughed at the idea and he asked me if I think they'd be looking for Yolmer and Mendick. No reason to be a condescending douche. I told him that deal would be tough to pull off since Yolmer is on the Orioles now.
  21. Vold doesn’t have any sources. He’s messing around.
  22. Nobody is taking Andrus. His option year vests if traded. No shot
  23. I think the White Sox would be selling at his lowest value point ever which is why I think it's unlikely. Their development people are thrilled with how he looks. I'd be really surprised if they moved him right now.
  24. Kopech and Vaughn are top 25 prospects in the sport. Vaughn will be a top 10 prospect at some publications and he plays 1B. The White Sox shouldn't be trading guys like that. Spend some of the cheapskate owner's money instead.
