  1. To be fair, the White Sox have one of the best international scouts in the world on their payroll already and ownership still doesn't spend internationally. It's a solid idea from SS2K and I agree overall but it doesn't really matter on the international front.
  2. The White Sox pitching development people love this kid. Off the record of course haha.
  3. Just because you interview Sam Fuld for the managerial job, it doesn’t mean that’s the only position in the organization he could ultimately take. They should be talking to everyone.
  4. I have an article on this dropping tomorrow. There are multiple candidates for this opening.
  5. Y2Jimmy0 replied to bmags's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I’m hoping that Fuld is AJ Hinch’s bench coach. That would be tremendous.
  6. .470 winning % after being a long time minor league manager
  7. Bob Geren is a former catcher, really heavily into analytics and has managing experience. The White Sox have a type in this search outside of one major outlier.
  8. There’s another former manager in one of the dugouts as well.
  9. We’re not going to hear anything until after the World Series this year. The candidate list includes at least one person coaching in the World Series.
  10. I agree with this but they'd also have to pay the players that they trade for. People act like it's either or.
  11. I’d be fine with Hasler but it kind of depends what they think Zaleski is long term. If he’s their pitching coach soon, making Hasler the pitching coach now might not make sense. If Zaleski is the long term plan, maybe he becomes PC now and Hasler stays in bullpen. It just depends I guess.
  12. This is not accurate. Hasler is a development guy and has been doing all the data related stuff and tech on the big league level of late. He’s nothing like Cooper.
  13. The best trade wa when he accidentally acquired Luis Alejandro Basabe instead of Luis Alexander.
  14. I mean you could actually read the article
  15. I think Hinch should be the guy. He's the best manager available and could be here for a decade. Yeah I just don't agree with this. The game 3 plan was perfectly fine. Crochet got hurt and they panicked. If Crochet doesn't get hurt, I think they win that game. Jerry has been holding back the franchise forever though so nothing would surprise me.
  16. I'm not sure if it was shared already but this was Jeff Passan on La Russa from 2016: https://sports.yahoo.com/news/the-hypocrisy-of-tony-la-russa-and-the-understandable-fears-of-black-baseball-players-045857175.html I'd love to know Tim Anderson's thoughts on Tony becoming the next manager.
  17. I just don't understand the point. From what I know, AJ Hinch is the manager Hahn wants. So this scenario would be like a Joe Espada or something? Why would La Russa manage for one year? It's a dumb idea. Not really. Rick Hahn could work anywhere. Why would he work in a place where he wasn't able to make the decision? If Tony La Russa is the next manager of the White Sox, it's 100% a Jerry Reinsdorf. If that's the case, Jerry's old ass should just run the team day to day as well. Barf. La Russa also likes to tell black players how they should feel and where they should sit before games. Bringing this dinosaur in to manage this particular team is idiotic. It could ultimately be fine because managers are overrated in general but this is one of the most White Sox things ever. Take a step forward and two steps back.
  18. If Tony La Russa is the next manager of the White Sox, Rick Hahn should resign immediately.
  19. On the latest episode of the FutureSox podcast, I joined Mike Rankin and Dan Santaromita to talk about a bunch of topics. Prospect debuts, Renteria's demise, La Russa, Hinch and young pitchers. Check it out here:https://anchor.fm/futuresox/episodes/FutureSox-Podcast-Chicago-White-Sox-move-on-from-Rick-Renteria--Don-Cooper-el4mai
  20. Oh yeah. I’m a big fan of righty Cristian Mena from last years group and Adrian Gil is similar in this class. The Sox think Norge Vera will be a fast mover, I’m just not sure how quickly he gets to the states
  21. He was one of the names I already had. Bonus of $525K.
  22. Signings can't be announced until January 15. No idea on Cespedes or Colas. I'd imagine they'll both have more showcases.
  23. There are actual games. It's tough to get updates. We tried to send Sean Williams and cover it but the White Sox said that no media is allowed currently.
  24. We already have all of the names for the period that begins in January. It was supposed to start in July. Just waiting on Cespedes and Colas
  25. Ehh whatever. Don’t tweet dumb things at people if you can’t handle the response. Bauer is a bag but it’s just Twitter. People want him tarred and feathered because this person stepped in it and can’t handle the response. There’s a mute and block feature for a reason.
