  1. I think Davis Martin is better than that. My prediction is that he puts up an All Star caliber season. His changeup is a game changer
  2. I don’t think it affects Sosa at all. He won’t be playing shortstop. Try and come up with 13 players without Meidroth. It’s not easy.
  3. Nothing left to prove in AAA. His success in that league is much more important than anything that has happened this spring. I'm hoping he's the opening day shortstop.
  4. The only way to get a draft pick for someone winning ROY is if they’re in 2/3 top 100 lists like BA, pipeline and ESPN. Shane Smith and Meidroth wouldn’t qualify
  5. That's not what the article said. He's playing shortstop.
  6. He’ll go on 60 day when they need a spot
  7. Drew Thorpe is fine and pitching. Blake Larson, Berroa, Bush and Carela all having TJS. Pitchers break. They need a lot of them.
  8. No shot. Getz is very safe. Jerry Reinsdorf doesn’t fire people
  9. It's actually from a Hayes tweet. My bad. Look in the article we posted at FutureSox: https://www.futuresox.net/2025/02/24/ishbia-brothers-increase-white-sox-in/
  10. Dan Hayes article on The Athletic.
  11. Here's the top 30: https://www.futuresox.net/2025/03/05/futuresox-2025-preseason-white-sox-to/
  12. No you’re not correct. Try to keep up. The important parts are Ishbia dropping Twins bid after being really far down the road toward ownership and the Reinsdorf’s approaching Ishbia as the impetus to buy more shares and drop the Twins. Those are the most importabt details. I have no idea when Ishbia might get control of the White Sox. But I’m pretty certain that he didn’t give up the Twins for a coke and a smile and the chance to help Jerry Reinsdorf build a new stadium.
  13. You can tell the people who read the original reporting by Greenberg and Hayes and the people who haven’t in regards to this story and that includes the media. Those stories are both essential.
  14. I don’t think anyone thought it was real close. The story was never that Reinsdorf is selling. The story is that Justin Ishbia is t buying the Twins and the Reinsdorf’s approached him to take a bigger stake instead. Justin Ishbia is the overwhelming favorite to be the next owner of the White Sox at some point. That’s the story.
  15. Jerry doesn't own very much of the team. Under 20% I believe.
  16. He's gotten much more correct on the Sox than he's ever gotten wrong. That trade was done but I believe Matt Foster or the pitcher in return was hurt and Arizona backed out.
  17. Bob Nightengale was on 670 this morning and speculated that Justin Ishbia has close to 40% of the team now.
  18. Bush is absolutely a top 20 prospect in this system. He's just hurt now. This was put together prior to the injury.

  20. It’s rankings week at FutureSox. We have the Just Missed list today. https://www.futuresox.net/2025/03/03/futuresox-2025-white-sox-preseason-ju/
  21. Guaranteed money
  22. Are we seriously debating whether guys are busts based on spring training results? This is insane, guys.
  23. I’d think Bryse Wilson is the 5th starter until Thorpe is ready
  24. In relief, yeah. Good to see though
