I would actually take on Ian Kennedy and Kubel if it meant a nice package in return. If the Sox received some combo of Owings, Davidson, Holmberg, Delgado, Eaton, I would gladly take those contracts. May be able to dump Kubel in August and if not just play him in the OF for the rest of season. Ian Kennedy is a guy that could definitely get traded in the offseason. Arizona pays Peavy's deal. We pay Kubel and Kennedy and also get 3 nice prospects. Maybe throw in Lindstrom as well. Sounds good to me.

I have a feeling that the people in this thread that think it would be stupid to trade for Dylan Bundy also think that the Sox could get Xander Bogaerts or Addison Russell for Jake Peavy. Boy I can't wait for this deadline to be over.

In my opinion, if Dylan Bundy were on the table, Peavy would already be in Baltimore. Tommy John or not. Last year he was the best starting pitching prospect in all of baseball. He's still going to be a stud. I'd take that chance and be really excited about it.
