  1. There is but with Cowser’s bat, it plays more in CF than in a corner. I’d prefer the power profile That’s interesting. Cowser had 77 PA in majors though. Totally meaningless sample This is true. I just think they need Kjerstad’s profile more
  2. Why would his stock be down? I think I’d prefer Kjerstad anyway. Cowser’s value comes as a CF imo and he won’t be playing it in Chicago
  3. I don’t think they’re getting Cowser. If they keep insisting on that, it’ll probably be a different team.
  4. I’m not worried about Gonzalez defensively My point was that it’s premature to write off shortstop. I’ve seen many on this board mention it as well as podcasts etc. He’s playing shortstop. He might end up at 3B eventually but I’d be stunned if he’s not a shortstop to start.
  5. I've heard it in lots of places that Montgomery ends up at 3B over past few days. He might ultimately but he'll be a big league shortstop to start his career.
  6. And he has two years of control, won't re-sign here and the White Sox will be bad next year. They'll get a lot in return. They need to move him though.
  7. Braves were in deep on Gray and Nola. Their system isn't good but it's pitching heavy. I doubt they could pull this off without including AJ Smith Shawver. Grissom doesn't do much for me. Waldrep, Murphy and Schwellenbach are all really interesting young arms but they need position players in return for Cease imo. I'd probably need something like: Aj Smith Shawver, Spencer Schwellenbach, Owen Murphy and Luis Guanipa to deal with the Braves.
  8. I highly doubt he extends with anyone. You don't hire Scott Boras to sign a below market extension
  9. Ethan Holliday might be the first pick in 2025. That’s why I wrote it like that. He might be better than Jackson.
  10. That’s insane. Are you thinking he’ll be making the decision going forward under this structure?
  11. Do you think Jacob Gonzalez was Mike Shirley’s decision?
  12. I wrote about this here: https://www.futuresox.net/2023/11/16/could-mlb-draft-lottery-present-conflict-for-white-sox/
  13. It doesn’t. If the White Sox have a top 6 pick this year and they finish with the worst record in baseball next year, they’ll have the 11th pick in round one in 2025 and the #1 pick in every other round
  14. Nope it’s 10. Rule is weird. It basically guarantees the bottom 3 records a pick in 7-9 range so Nats will be 10 this year etc.
  15. We either want top 3 or 7th imo. 5-6 would suck.
  16. It’s actually on at 4:30.
  17. I was told today that nothing close on Whit Merrifield. Harold says he’s a target but those talks aren’t active.
  18. They’re gonna lose 100 games and have the 10th pick
  19. This isn't true at all. If he were free, he would've been picked up. The claiming team would've had to pay the $4 million buyout.
  20. Nightengale’s story says White Sox ace Dylan Cease
  21. I'm good with that deal honestly. Frasso and Pages is a great start.
  22. No I wouldn’t but some teams could offer the 65th best in baseball and someone in the 90’s for example
  23. Yeah they will
  24. I like this idea and Will Taylor on college side. I’m hoping PJ Morlando impresses on prep side
