Quintana has been an incredible pickup, but he needs to work on his strength in the offseason and find a way to be a little more efficient. Despite a no-hitter, he hit the 100 pitch mark at 6.1 innings. This does not look good here.

Alright, definitely need to pull Quintana. The pitch count is starting to catch up with him.

We really don't have much in terms of left-handed relievers in the minors though. Santos Rodriguez has the stuff to be a dominant setup man, but he simply walks too many people. That typically doesn't translate well to the pros.

Getting out of that inning with only 2 runs is a small victory.

I didn't get to watch the inning obviously, but I'm glad to hear D.J. call out the team for sloppy play just now. The number of unearned runs don't even begin to tell the full story of how poor our defense has been this year.

Glad to see all that hard work in AAA paid off.

Add two of them, trade a starting pitcher for a young bat, and the offense will be much improved.
